Wow. That’s some interview and amazing content to read. Did you not spend the whole time just looking at him, thinking this man is my hero that I am absolutely hammering here? Brilliant to see a journalist/ fan relationship like that with the DOF, all justified and fair play to Les for playing ball. Can see there must be an immense underlying respect for each other to conduct an interview like that |

Really enjoyed that. Thanks Clive. Find judging goalkeepers such a difficult thing to do as you somewhat eluded to some of the great goalkeepers sometimes don’t need to make so many outstanding saves. IMO (which on goalkeepers is worth absolutely nothing) Seny still has a lot to learn at this level and would benefit from another season with us. Think we are a good fit for him and another good season think will have him reach his potential in the top tier, hopefully as a first choice for someone. |

Thanks Clive. The only objection I have with this is the suggestion that producing academy players is the only way to make us self sustainable. If we have a manager / recruitment team that are able to pick talent and develop them in the manner they have done over the past three years, surely this would also tick that box. Admittedly we deviated from that this year (for obvious reasons) but it didn’t seem like demands were made that we would need to continue doing this under Warburton, it just seemed like a calculated risk worth taking. It could be that the recruitment team deserve the credit and any half decent coach / manager can get a tune out of them. I don’t think think this is the case, but I guess time will tell. I think the boards long term strategy is great, but we are probably 10 years away from seeing the benefits of the changes being made for the academy and seeing that come into fruition. Warburton IMO was absolutely perfect to be the manager whilst the improvements to the academy were taking place, if he believed / bought into the long term academy structured self-sustainable model. Guess the issue is Warburton doesn’t appear to be an academy man and from my perspective too staunch in his views on the academy structure at the club, which clearly creates a challenge for the board. The other way of looking at it is they could have viewed the model Mark was promoting whilst also working on developing the academy (fair to say this would create challenges). Guess it boils down to who you feel has better knowledge of players ability and vision to build a club: Les or Mark. For me, I have never been sadder to see a manager leave. Thank you Warbs for the memories and the pride you restored to our football club. |

Completely agree, great to have a seemingly very well principled man at the head of the club. Think his coaching of the players has been exceptional and his substitutions lately and the clubs recruitment really seem to be coming together placing me into a worryingly content mood around the Rangers. Enjoying it whilst it lasts and hoping to be able to get some games in the ‘21/‘22 season. |

Lovely stuff Clive, performance related bonuses (although obviously widely used in the game) will certainly be right up Warbs and the boards Strasse IMO and is an excellent point. Hopefully we can make top 10 and everyone can have an incredible summer (except maybe Tony) |
