And that is compete nonsense.
A hypothetical group could. A real world example that hasn't been specifically engineered would make such results highly unlikely and when compared to established science is more likely to be a failure in methodology, recording of information or other such reason.
Do you think the women would succeed in a mixed sport? |

Nobody ever likes to mention the record but it's not bad with hindsight.
I mean I was lying about Steve Gallen right? We shouldn't consider signing a right back in the summer right? Michael Harriman is the future isn't he! I was wrong that players were being picked by someone other than the coach for non-footballing reasons wasn't I? My avocation of a team including Polter, Smithies, Hall, Luongo and Chery from day one has been so foolish hasn't it? When they announced that we'd only lost £9.8m and I said rubbish it's more like £70m and everyone was saying 'oh what a know it all thinks he knows better than the club' I was sooooooo wrong. Henry makes more challenges and interceptions than Luongo and Faurlin does he? I'm off my rocker. Clearly.
You continue to call me a fool but with a bit of hindsight you'd see that was foolish.I have plenty of crowds. My regular crowd at football includes the highest qualified coach possible. He doesn't think these ideas are foolish so excuse me for not breaking down because you don't respect my opinion. Obviously the physical differences I am referring to are implied to be the physical differences we were discussing.
You believe that these differences don't exist. 'In speed, stamina and strength.'
This is simply false. Which is why they play different games.
Whether people believe that there are no physical differences at all or that there are some differences but not in speed, stamina, strength, spatial awareness etc etc is equally absurd. |

Actually several have on this thread, repeatedly.

Don't bring this nonsense revisionism to me. Quite clearly they did make that argument.

Yes we can all make vague claims alluding to foolish statements that others have supposedly made. They don't actually mean anything though.

No and nothing I've said would imply that.
In fact the precise inverse is stated.
The question is whether two groups of athletes that play the same game at the same respective level can and the answer to that is yes.
Two groups of high level athletes will not post comparable stats.
Only by getting the top 20% of men and top 10% of women (or something like that) will you find parity.
Honestly this isn't even questioned in science. I can't believe we're having this conversation.

Couldn't give a toss about Hurling but I do know that it isn't played in a bubble where the laws of physics are ignored.
I clearly know more about BASIC biology.
You continue to stand on the side of ridiculousness asserting that there aren't clear and obvious and scientifically proven physical differences between the sexes.
I beg you to find one shred of evidence. One scientist agreeing with you.

I'll trust that you have some test which you think shows this. However every single peer reviewed scientific study shows conclusively that their are very real physical differences between the average member of each sex and between the peak of each sex. Speed, Strength and Stamina all have significant differences.
That isn't to say that all are faster or have better stamina.When I was in the TA the top of the group was always a group of men, the bottom always a group of women. However I had a few girls that regularly finished ahead of me when it came to long distance one of whoms now an Ironman (Ironwoman?)
These are the exceptions however.
U.S soccer is no different to any other sport.
Also I don't want you to get me wrong, I like women's sports. They are just as entertaining sometimes such as the UFC or Tennis. (WWE even though its not a sport has vastly improved when it comes to women) For me anyway. But if we eliminated sex segregation they wouldn't be integrated leagues, the women could not compete. |

Sorry I was just using your claim as an example I wasn't trying to suggest you have some kind of campaign or whatever.
I'm sorry but biology shows that this simply isn't true. There isn't close to parity in these areas. They are not just as fit.
And if they are combine the leagues and we should see women make it into county teams on their own merit. We know this won't happen. [Post edited 1 Apr 2016 14:53]

I am dealing with this particular issue.
'If the women's team generates more money for the USSF than the men's team does, why should the women be paid less than the men?'
They shouldn't but this is the imaginary scenario. The mens team makes almost double. |

Political correctness means treating people with dignity and respect?
Not even slightly. It means distorting truth to protect the feelings of the so called oppressed.
We've seen two examples here.
The physical capabilities of the men and womens hurling teams are similar.
The US womens team makes more than the US mens team.
So its discrimination and society that makes us watch the mens.

I agree.
Combine all leagues and then pay the best athletes regardless of gender.
This atrocious discrimination in which women have been artificially propped up despite being inferior at the sport than many men who don't get to play on TV.
Joking I don't want them combined but it makes me laugh at how they can complain when they are the beneficiaries of the discrimination. You see it time and again. |
