Managing our mental health
at 21:08 3 May 2023

I don’t often post on here, but I thought this thread would be the perfect place for this amazing video released last December by the Welsh musician Ren.

He was brought up in Anglesey and went to Bath to study music, during this time he was offered a 3-year recording contract with Sony. As he started recording his first album, he came down with mental health issues and was unable to complete the album, returning to his parents in Wales where he would stay in bed for up to 20 hours a day.

He eventually moved to Brighton and played in a street band The Big Push (some great videos of them busking on YouTube).

Took them almost 10 years to identify his illness, his words: “Years before I was diagnosed correctly with autoimmunity, Lyme disease, and brain damage I was misdiagnosed as bipolar and spent years bouncing back and forth between therapists and trialing different antidepressants all the while getting worse and worse.”

He’s currently living in Calgary for up to 6 months to receive stem cell treatment to try and correct the damage done.

This video was released in December and is an inspiration for anyone suffering mental health issues, it has racked up more than 11 million views since then.

If you are an emotional person, then have a hanky at the ready.

Steve Cooper remains silent, the club remains silent, and the fans are left in t
at 21:26 4 Jul 2021

Excuse me? Where is the offensive part? I can only assume you mean the term stirring shit!!! Jeepers if that’s offensive in your World.

So lets have a look at the headlines popping up over the last week on Newsnow, from this site, all remember based on rumours and ‘INK’ fans.

“Steve Cooper remains silent, the club remains silent, and the fans are left in the dark”
“Steve Cooper’s desire to leave Swansea is getting embarrassing”
“First the Palace job collapses for Cooper, now Fulham ?”
“Steve Cooper’s Crystal Palace dream is over !”
“The week ‘Cooper must go’ to everyone’s benefit”
“Steve Cooper closer than ever to leaving Swansea City”

You response to my concern you are proving your distractors right by creating click bait headlines is “Really ? Leave then, or try debating topics without being offensive, best leave that off social media.”

Who exactly can’t debate when its don’t raise a site concern, if you do, sod off.

Then you follow up with “If your intelligence levels aren’t high enough to read an article that explains fully the context and the story line that’s your issue, not anyone’s on here.”

So in other words the headlines are a false summary, what exactly is the definition of click bait again?

You have your distractors, I’m not one of them, but if that’s your response to anyone genuinely raising a concern, well thank you and goodnight.

Its the fact its placed as headlines on a "story" that pops up on newsfeeds makes it different.

All based on "ITK" fans and journalists looking for hits.

That's different to fans asking questions on a forum.

As it stands no-one knows how much truth was ever in the rumours, it was all conjecture and rumour.

Have to admit I'm getting more concerned with seeing the increasing click bait inflammatory headlines from this site on newsnow.

The fact in this matter is, we don't know how much truth there has been in the stories we've read over the last few weeks.

This site appears to be hell bent on stirring shit on what maybe false information, leading a manhunt with a posse.

That's the disturbing thing to me.

We have no idea what truth there is in any of the reports in recent weeks. It been all rumour and paper talk.

Could be all of it was made up.

Its not total points massed, its a point for position.

For instance, whoever is first in the Premier League this year will get 92 points, the team bottom of League 2 will get 1 point. The points for first over the years varied in the early years.

very simplistic but gives an overall idea of how successful a team has been in the Professional leagues since the 1880's.

Canada What a tragedy this is
at 19:14 26 Jun 2021

It depends on who you are talking about with the harmony with nature I suppose, the North American Indigenous people and the Aborigine's of Australia would fit in with this.

Not far from where I live is a tourist attraction called Buffalo Jump, its an area where the pre-European natives guided buffalo to a cliff edge and chased them off the edge. 1000's of buffalo would die in one go, the natives collected them and used everything including the bone, they did this once a year at a time when there were millions of buffalo.

I once read that the reason the people of the American continent was so far behind in development was because before the Europeans came across, there were no horses, so travel was always on foot, limiting the reach of the people.

Africa was cut of through deserts and jungle, but they were not at one with nature as far as i know. The West side of Africa was within touching distance of Arabia, the Arabs certainly took advantage and enslaved people from the region, 100's of years before the European's found the West Coast. The local 'royalty' became rich from the slave trade and resisted when the British outlawed it at the start of the 19th century.

Asia was also not in harmony, with empire's rising and falling.

The difference as I mentioned earlier was the technology revolution followed by the industrial evolution, this was the game changer and humans did what humans did best, service their greed.

Canada What a tragedy this is
at 07:14 26 Jun 2021

Don't quite agree with that view.

Its always been about power and exploiting resources for the most powerful. It never mattered the colour of the skin.

The Romans exploited most of Europe, enslaving people's and taking their resources.

Saying non white's across the globe lived in harmony is totally incorrect. Gengis Khan ring a bell? The Japanese invading Korea and China, African's enslaving each other, Arabian exploitation of Africa went on for a 1000 years. There's many examples of power struggles across the globe, without the Whiteman's involvement.

What changed with the European expansion was simply technological advancement.

No trial, not sure if its the bad press over here or just not able to get enough AZ but when I booked for my second no AZ slots available, so had a choice, Pfitzer or Moderna.
