Kolli signs new deal!
at 23:58 17 Jan 2025

There has been a lot of angst over this signing, he and his Dad have been made to look a certain way for criticising the club, and people in the know called liars. Let’s not forget that Kolli received racist abuse for not signing a couple of months ago.

If a utility company, an estate agent, or the government pulled this kind of thing we’d be a bit miffed.

It’s not crime of the century granted, and I have sympathy for the need for corporate secrecy to give us a competitive edge but I really resent being manipulated by something frankly I love. I’m a supporter not some mug punter.

We rightly took Paliadini to pieces over things like this, albeit he was more damaging and malicious, and I think decent results (which the club deserves credit for) are covering a lot of sins.

It’s a thin end of a wedge.

I’m pretty sure none of those things took place this week.

I’m far from ITK but I’ve heard that Dunne has also signed.

This would have been news to my Grandad, a member for many years, who drove home pissed from there most Sundays haha.

Classy response.

Back on topic but still related, quite a few miners welfare clubs going strong in Notts too.

Alfie Lloyd new deal

Praise be to Les, Chris Ramsey, Paul Hall, and the rest of the YT. These players didn’t suddenly drop out the sky this season.

Kolli been with us since 2015 and Lloyd 2021.

Fair play to Marti for being brave enough to pick them too.

I’ll assess the current setup’s policy on producing players in 5-10 years. Credit is due for the signing of Morgan and Morrison who could be classed as youth I suppose, but that’s hardly a change of course.

I frequent this one.

Decor hasn’t changed since the 70s and I had a beer with a fella there the other day who’s been a member since 1950 or something and remembers his Dad’s last pint in there before leaving for war.

Too woke for some, but I think it’s great.

I look forward to watching this, although I hope he’s spouts absolute twaddle and all the thirsty lower prem sides are watching.

It’s a lovely league, but I went to Barry v TNS last year, arguably the two biggest sides.

400 people turned up.

After Wrexham / Newport there is a huge drop in size. More people attend a full house at Cardiff or Swansea match than the whole Cymru premiership in a season i’d imagine.

Would be a very lopsided 10-12 team league unless attendances and quality improved below the existing sides playing in the EFL.

Here’s hoping the next forty minutes are a tiring Championship slog for Plymouth while our lads have been riding their way through glamour models and resting on the beach in Dubai since NY day.
