Ye this is true too.

We are 14th in the table, well out of the mire of bottom 3 and all that.

Hopefully our stint in the Europa league can finish in a few weeks and we can get back to important stuff.

+1

Leon would be a good addition, we are missing Ashley Williams in a big way!

Tiredness?

They just look dog tired tbh, even Michu is looking shattered and nothing compared to his normal self. Dyer is running as normal but made one or two errors he would never normally make.

I think we've had enough of this Europa malarkey. I hope we make it to next stage and get put out early on.

Btw what does everyone think about Chico? I dunno, I mean there is Ben Davies... who is epic 99% of the time and then there is Chico...

Vorms looking shaky too. I'm sure he can come good again though.

Arsenal
at 10:15 29 Sep 2013

The sad thing was when we started pushing in the last 20 odd minutes Arsenal looked a bit shaky. They really had to work hard to protect that win IMHO.

Sadly we spent 45 minutes too scared to make a definite move and 20 minutes post Gnabry goal in the Doldrums.

If we had come back into the game earlier with the swagger / impetus shown in the final 1/5 we could easily have gotten a point from that game.

Ben Davies, what a player and what a game. Whenever Ben is on the ball or part of a defensive position I feel comfortable. The exact opposite is true when Chico Flores even gets close to the ball. Don't even start me when Chico is back defending, the urine starts trickling down my leg during those moments. The first goal was a complete brain fart moment.

I think Dyer had a great game too, we all know about his speed but he's a proper like twinkle toes to boot, a true asset when working to maintain an attacking possession pushing forward.

Still, fair play to Arsenal, top of the league n all that! This season is starting to look very exciting, the table is far from settled and i'm not 100% sure it will for some time.

It's a bit of a shame we had such a tough start to the season, look at Southampton's position right now. Could have been us guys, could have been us!

Gay Laces at Crystal Palace this weekend (n/t)
at 13:10 22 Sep 2013

It's this kind of blind, Guardian reading wooliness that irritates me. They believe that everyone loves everybody else and all we need to do is link arms and have a cwtch.

Religion, even though 90% odd of us don't bother with Church anymore has a huge impact on all our lives. I suspect gay people know this more than anyone else.

Ignore this fact at your peril i say. Look at what some of those Republican Christian nutters are doing in America right now or the gay bashing and unofficial Sharia law that's being enacted in some London suburbs. This is before we get to the lobbying and general skullduggery that's going on in local government.

The sooner we adopt a more French system that is completely atheist and gives no special treatment for anyone under the guise of "other cultures / religious freedom" the better.

Gay Laces at Crystal Palace this weekend

If your living your life by Levictus you have bigger problems than gay people Lmao! If you took the book as absolute gospel you would be doing a 10 stretch for some horrific crime by sundown! Didn't Levictus condone pedophilia or something similar?

As for the laces, nice idea in principle but done in a very cynical way by Paddy Power. It's a shame because anyone who has been down to watch Brighton play at home will know that while some of the gay chants are quite funny and just banter, some of them are downright abusive.

If we all went down to a Muslim football club and start shouting things you could bet your ass we would be thrown in jail, pronto!

That's the biggest problem imho. We care more about the views of foreigners and religious extremists than looking after our lads, whether they be gay or straight.

I think Liverpool were lucky to hold on to get that win. RVP missed a few that on any other day he would have slotted in.

Having said that you can see they are turning the corner and Brendan is building something good. Dunno about title contenders though, it's way too early to predict anything and there are teams that are having to adjust to new playing conditions. (Man U & Spurs especially)

Until then we're gonna live in a crazy world where Cardiff are a top 10 side, Liverpool are top of the league and Man City are shipping goals to vastly inferior teams.

Give it till January, let the dust settle and normal service will resume. By the time the seasons ended no one will remember September 2013!

What about praying to the goddess of sport?

Still have lots of love for Leon how could you not? It's not one or the other it' both.

Both Bony and Michu played well today. Michu found lots of space and the link up was quality.

Bony played well too, had some space, had a cracked shot and did well for us. Be interesting what we can get out of the Liverpool game at home now.

Jesus we won today and apparently that's not good enough anymore! They want 10 goals.

Maybe f&ck off and go be a fan of Real Madrid?

Swansea Commentary Drinking Game
at 15:33 1 Sep 2013

I'm sure you can all add to these!

Drink a shot whenever

1. Com mentions where we were 10 years ago.
2. Com uses the word "philosophy".
3. Com mentions ML was a world class player.
4. Com mentions how much Michu cost us.
5. Com mentions Leon Britton regardless of whether Leon is on the pitch.
6. Com mentions Gareth Bale regardless of if Spurs are playing, just being Welsh seems like a tenuous enough link.

Ye exactly this.

At the moment Cardiff are on cloud 9, newly promoted, just beat Man City.

Give it a few month and let the tiredness kick in. A couple of defeats thrown in for good measure and we shall see who has the quality to stay up.

This season was always going to be tough IMHO with the Europa league. On a positive note out team is much stronger than last year.

I was thinking that too.

We we're only 0:0 at HT because of pure blind luck.

It's a shame we were so negative early on. I'm guessing that was the plan.

Would have been nice to see Bony all game or perhaps a bit longer than we did. Mind you a fully rested Bony at home against WBA could be just the ticket.

Next week is important now to avoid future problems.
