A recent poster (now banned and who shall remain nameless - but I think is in his 40s) called me 'my son' and claimed to have seen more Rs games than I'd had hot dinners! That was quite funny as I'm one of the more mature (in years anyway) posters on this board and have been going to LR for > 45 years. It made me wonder who the oldies are on this board? I know that I share a birth year with Sir Neil of Warnock and a certain regular poster from Aberystwyth but a little younger than 'Arry.
Saw QPR v Derby Cup match,1-1 Draw on my own aged 10 1948.prior to that went with Big brother previous seasons standing behind crash barrier just below steps into loft end with the Notting Hill Gate/ Carpenders Park Mob.Those were the days.
If at first you dont succeed, pack up and f**k off home.
I'm the same age as Gazza (2 months younger). Yet when I see what a sad state he's in I thank my lucky stars that I'm relativly healthy .... apart from my left ankle, my left knee, pulled a muscle the other day in my lower back and have a knotted muscle in my left shoulder blade. Apart from that, all ok!
My Dad is 83, but he hasn't posted for year or so as I have to supervise him - he is not exactly computer savvy.
And all his posts mention 'over the stand Sam'.
Was that the defender who when criticised for hoofing it out the ground replied '" 30 bob, mate 30 bob". That was the going price for a draw in those days.
