Claasens will be tricky to sign due to work permit issues and a lack of time to sort them unfortunately.
£6m is too much for Pienaar, but it's a sellers market and if we don't have any other realistic midfield options lined up we HAVE to pay it IMO.

Alex at 29 for £6m I could just about accept as he's genuinely world-class, but Pienaar has looked decent at a mid-level club, then failed to get into the team at a good (but not top imo) club. And, while his versatility is useful, he's not a genuine centre-mid, certainly not in a 4-4-2. Levy will be laughing all the way to the bank on this one. | | | |
