We've been practicing shooting during training but we've run out of footballs.

The Boro Match thread. on 20:38 - Mar 11 with 1132 views | davman | Shocking half. Yang is dire; cost us the first goal and tried to give them another. Dembele out of position on the right or Smyth far, far better. Paal. As always, he is doing alright - a 5 or 6 out of ten, but then that shot. Abysmal. Morgan has the legs, but aside from us really, really wanting him to come good, he hasn't been all that since his new contract has he and this is another abject performance for the list. Just when you think Colback is settling back into being a good football player he chucks out a half like that. Saito a ghost. Since he got Darnell sent off by "running into his elbow", he has look terrified. Frey running with no support. Frightening how we've fallen off a cliff. This lot are not all that at all, but at times this is so, so easy for them, There is always a pass on, very little pressure on the ball, easy. Contrast to us who cannot keep the ball unless we pass backwards and across. ...and yet its only one goal against a team with brittle confidence. Get one back early and who knows? Of course the problem is that we are very very unlikely to get one back. A team of 10s is really not the way to go, is it?

The Boro Match thread. on 20:39 - Mar 11 with 1116 views | dm97 | Very weak, very easily bullied. Wonder if all the Twitter tacticos can see why Field has to be in this team, this is what it looks like without someone like him/Varane.
The Boro Match thread. on 20:39 - Mar 11 with 1111 views | Malintabuk | Not understanding this with Dembele.... if he is fit then he surely has to start... if he can't do 90 mins then do 60-70.... must be more productive than Yang As said on here why is Saito and Chair both on the left... is Chair suppose to be the 10? Frey seems to be the only one that is trying... I know Morgan is young but he has regressed, maybe a case of resting the lad .... Where do we go this half... no striker option so we will be flogging Frey to death tonight Poor poor team.... be surprised if we get back into thisc

The Boro Match thread. on 20:30 - Mar 11 by Rangersw12 | I thought you said we would be better without Field and Smyth in the side ? |
I don't think I ever suggested replacing Field for 35yo Colback whose legs have gone, or Smyth for some 18yo who is learning the game at our expense. We replace in the summer properly, as half this team will be gone.
The Boro Match thread. on 20:40 - Mar 11 with 1033 views | 1BobbyHazell | Terrible 45 minutes. Terrified of trying to play any football. In Paal's defence (booo) he's a defender on his weaker foot. Of course he should have done better but it happens. At least he made a great run to get himself in a goal scoring opportunity, imagine if our midfielders or forwards ever bothered to do such a thing! Call me a dreamer but one of them might even get a shot on target.

Sad fact its not his job but he can't do any job on the field. Bad defender, horrible corner taker and any ball slid into the corner and we are tied. Yang is worse ,caused the goal and almost a second he should be benched along with Paal and Chair IMO. So frustrating watching us self destruct its hard to see how Boro only have 1 goal it wont take long for the second I suspect
The Boro Match thread. on 20:41 - Mar 11 with 998 views | R_from_afar | Seeing the replay of their goal, we had a player in the box close enough to stretch out a leg and at least try to stop it. He wasn't even right in front of the goal.

Edwards, is one of our few players who can actually, pass the ball, to one of our own players.
The Boro Match thread. on 20:43 - Mar 11 with 929 views | mart_Goblin | Not sure what to say. We look like children playing men . No physicality or pace around the pitch at all . How many times did they break through our midfield to leave them all sprinting as fast as their little legs would carry them but all being left behind bu ‘blokes’ running at normal pace with the football. Watching it from through my fingers as it’s slightly embarrassing . Field and Varane have a lot of flaws but at least they can compete in the main. Topped off by ‘that’ miss . Dear me. Yang should be replaced now and if he isn’t then something fishing is going on .

How about we actually give a f**k and look like we care about competing, rather than just picking up our 10k a week paychecks. That team deserve the hair dryer half time talk as they are all currently showing their desire for numbers in their bank accounts as opposed to pride in their performances. There should be opportunities to prevent players getting paid when they throw a half like that. Boro are bang average, but bang average will beat this lot today. Dembele for Chair. Smyth for Yang. Bennie later on probably for Morgan but be up top possibly. Saito wing back instead of Paal Marti needs send a message at half time with two maybe three subs please

Class player ,superb block on a dangerous shot and best of all when he lost the ball he sprinted around and won it back himself .He must be so frustrated to have Paal ahead of him that guy makes Edwards job so much harder
The Boro Match thread. on 20:45 - Mar 11 with 813 views | queensparker | No Field or Varane has made an already fairly patchy midfield non existent. It’s like we’re playing in a big circle with the ball. Never ever goes inside, just round the edges. The ONE time we somewhat fortunately go inside via Yang we almost score. We’ve turned down easy inside balls so often and it’s driving me mad. Why?
