If the game goes ahead tonight please can you make sure that all the Oldham fans are in their seats not swarming around at the bottom by the perimeter wall.

Its basic stewarding any less is not acceptable especially after the last 2 Oldham visits.

It might be basic stewarding, but I would imagine it's not the easiest thing to implement when realistic's and MAK's lot are intent on behaving like complete morons regardless of what the stewards say.

This is one of the reasons why this fixture now has early kick-offs on a Saturday.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Three or four coppers stationed at that corner, immediately ejecting anyone who strays to the front barrier, would sort it

The club pay enough to have them sat in their control box...

Oh hello, this is fascinating. How have I been dragged into this? I'd love to know.

Having a police presence alongside the stewards in the Willbutts made a huge difference - as suggested earlier in the thread

The cost of policing the game last night will have been enormous. I counted 40 police in the ground - all of which I think we pay for. There were a large number of police outside the ground too. Oldham are the only team where this is needed. They also damaged the netting at the Sandy end of Willbuts when they scored.

Sadly, once again, we had injuries in the mainstand with fallers on the stairs at the end of the game. Again, when the fans around were shouting for the stewards to help, they refused to get involved - fellow fans did manage to lift the guy. This has happened too often now. Hope the guys are recovering from what was a hell of a bang to the head for one of them. Given the age of some of the fans in the mainstand, and the number of falls we see each season, isn't it time to put some handrails in?

The handrail suggestion is a very sensible idea. Something similar to what Chester did last summer would be perfect...

Cost can't be incredibly prohibitive, surely? It's the sort of thing which can be installed by stadium maintenance staff too.

Would very much support this, one for the Trust to take forward on behalf of fans.

On the subject of spending on ground improvements, the Club must be applauded for dipping into finances and getting the rain covers that surely without which yesterday's game would have been postponed. There is still the problem of the sterile swamp in the corner which looked as bad as, well done groundstaff.

Agree - Brilliant we have finally got rain covers.

I have a question i hope can be answered?

How should they be stored? rolled up and dumped at the side of the pitch yesterday as the groundstaff short on time (fair enough).

How do they need to be stored and where will is the best place to store them?.
