Suggestions for Coleman 13:02 - Dec 1 with 4990 views | SullutaCreturned | Right then, we have a new board, a new set of owners, can they turn things around? There is a lot to do and I knw Coleman talks to fans when he's in the away end so come on guys, any suggestions how to improve things, lets see... I'd kick it off by saying put Wifi in the ground, when people try to use their phones during matches they can't get a signal, I can't send texts or use the internet and it's really annoying, worse still I cannot make or recieve phone calls. My wife has epilepsy and if someone phones me in an energency and can't get through...well I'm sure there are other people in similar positions. Also, why does the club need an outside partner to do credit for season tickets, can't they say that if you vuy one for next season then you can also start to pay monthly for the season after. When you are buying seats for 3/4 people it's very expensive and the ability to start paying early in a continuos payment scheme without interest may be popular, specially when every penny goes to the club. I know that if it were available (bearing in mind I didn't renew for this season because I'd had enough of Levein and Kaplan) I would buy tickets for next season right now. Surely they can do something?

Suggestions for Coleman on 17:28 - Dec 2 by union_jack | Club football is about getting the best players we can. It’s not about getting local players or developing players for the Welsh team. Why hamstrung ourselves unnecessarily? I despair at some of the insularity on display in this thread. |
Statistically its a waste of money.. Thats my point. Apart from McBurnie and Dan James, then none of the players brought in have made it. Whereas in that time the more local products have done more than ok. We brought in any number of Scottish players below first team level, Fulton has been the best and thats saying something. Look how long Gorre and Zabret were kept for.. Its a cop out for some lazy coaches, and blocks local talent.. It should be few and far between, not big numbers. Get our money into the first team instead.

Zabref did not block anyone ..Swansea CoE or academy have never produced local goalkeeper. If the club had developed a non Welsh keeper of quality he would be in the team today. Benda came as a youth but Margetson preferred Woodman under Cooper. Martin preferred Fisher. There is a good group at present. Evan Watts Ben Hughes and Kit Margetson. It is not a waste of money because the club is going for best available and hang on to those not good enough. Zane Myers Leveritt Rishesha Akande, Joe Thomas etc The waste would be investing in local lads who were never going to make it. Only Cotterill of those on loan will make it I suspect. Yes Zabret. Taken in his mid teens he had potential but he failed to kick on. Kilkenny talks about Dan James and Mcburney and they were sold for around £35m. That paid for a class one academy for SEVEN years allowing the club to harvest the best Welah kid available. OMcB is way better than any Welsh 6ft CF. Cullen is the best and found the Swansea no 9 role a bit heavy a burden to carry and is slipping into the no 10 role. He is not strong enough and cannot head the ball.to be no 9.

Suggestions for Coleman on 14:02 - Dec 1 by KeithHaynes | The club is retarded in its thinking and always go for the obvious. Kids for a quid etc. I’ve given up up saying the same things on this. There’s no ‘fans connect’ no incentives ( and I’m not talking about reduced admission) I’m on about reducing south stand season tickets by a hundred quid at the start of the season. Stretching out to west and east Wales, schools and colleges regularly. Mid Wales has a big Swans support, but get up there, not at the Welsh show anymore. Utilise the ticket office as a proper ticket office selling all manner of events, connect with other ticket agencies and charge them the £2.50 that’s lumped on by ticketmaster turn their greed against them, maybe then it will be open more. And they will make money. These are generally easy ideas. There’s far more out there, we have a miserable commercial brain, it’s outdated and has no motive. |
We never had a stall at the Wales airshow - it's on the doorstep . Lots of youngsters there with their families . A missed opportunity .

Direct link from social media to ticket site Lose ticketmaster Better catering Open the lounges lunchtime and use as a sportsbar with tv screens showing all midday games, doing pizza/burgers/wings, Turn the car park into a sports bar, open evenings and weekends, local beers, sport from around the world. |
Bang on the money I always said SCFC should have bought frankie & bennys and turned it into a Swansea bar with an extendable canopy pulled out in winter months. Turn the afternoon into a fun day like a TFI friday kind of vibe (no offence not a safe Kev Johns and definitelynot the trust) spin the wheel give aways for doing stupid sh1t, local bands,SKY,cheaper drinks and food after the final whistle........

As per the Turners coaches thing, no creativity or forward thinking. Zero thought as it’s all about impressing the hierarchy not forwarding growth with forethought.

Over on the enterprise zone by Lite's ladders there is a large patch of land that is overgrown. I reckon the Swans should buy it, put up a big supporters bar there with away fans welcome, hire out for weddings/functions etc. Have the sky tv and do food. There's room for a large building and a fairly big car park too, it may do a bundle on match days and it might just do ok with functions if it was run properly. It'd mean a big investment though.

There’s investors at the club now who earn that in interest in one day. And it has nothing to do with profit and sustainability.

Exactly. I wouldn't be surprised if it was part of the licence for the harvester and the stadium that they had to have a certain number of parking spaces.
Suggestions for Coleman on 22:29 - Dec 5 with 721 views | Dr_Winston | Understand that a lot of Swans fans are barely sentient idiots who will whinge about whatever you do no matter how much you try. You won't please these people. You can't please these people. You'll be happier if you ignore them. After that, make much better use of the kids for a quid thing and do your level best to increase season ticket sales, even if that involves sacrificing potential future income.

What would it have done for the 30+ weeks of the year when the Swans weren't playing? Take it from someone who knows a fair bit about maintaining a licenced premises in the Landore area. Swans games were the cherry on top, not the pie itself.

Not for one minute doubting your experience in the licenced trade, but look at the pubs in the Sandfields since the Swans moved out ? When Boss Brewery was running a bar, before a game and after it would often be heaving. Outside of those times it was virtually empty. The Wern in Landore has shut down. In my opinion the bars in Swansea need the income from our and away supporters

Dr is spot on you can't make anything if your main income is stadium events. If you run anything 52 weeks of the year, you have to make money most weeks, not on 23 days out of 365. Regarding the sandfields pubs, local pubs everywhere hve closed over the last 20 years and it's not football related.

There is s huge car park across the road. Encourage people to park in the enterprise zone, and use park and ride to and from the stadium. The other 30 weeks of the year - if a sports bar is good enough, they could pull crowds for other events to cover the lack of home games. Champions league fixtures with after match summary from ex/players or managers. T20/100 games same thing with ex Glammy players. If the harvester can survive serving the unimaginative food then surely a decent sports bar showing all sports and foing decent grub should do also.

what do you think "local" pubs are already doing .....many show sports most nights to attract trade This pipe dream would never survive.....as has already been said stalwart Landore pub such as the Wern what closed....a new venture wouldn't survive. Whilst it.might do ok on a match day it would be deserted the rest of the time...or would not attract a large enough crowd to make it viable
