That's the current status from my local surgery and yet .I suppose millions will be thrown at private health care providers so they can take care of the needy amongst us. and yes before some come all over a thither I know its the mail but its being reported else where.
Just heard Hywel Griffith on the radio, said month after month the NHS performance data gets worse in Wales. The Senedd focus is on A and E, Ambulance response times and waiting lists all of which aren't improving but more specialised services are suffering badly.
On the other matter, there's a row building about payment of Universal Credit to non-UK citizens who should not have recourse to public funds, someone seems to have leaked some data.

I wonder how many of the Senedd members actually use the NHS or do they have private medical care.

20 minutes arrival time - turns into 9 1/2 hours!!
"A man bled to death after an ambulance did not turn up until nine and a half hours after he made the call for help. Coroner Aled Gruffydd has issued a prevention of future deaths report after Peter Parker died on September 11, 2021."

The more stories like this or similar the angrier I get, just when will those in power be held accountable
Those in power at that time have been held accountable. The country is an absolute mess and they caused it. All of it. There is nobody else to blame.
I know we've had Labour in the Senedd for years, they've largely been crap, and health is devolved but the amount we have to spend on it is controlled by Westminster.
Let's see what happens over the next five years, but I've said before the state the country is in will take many years to fix.
One thing that is crystal clear is that Reform are not the answer.

Wales gets more money per head for health and soxial care than any English region besides London.
I'm not saying we couldn't do with more but the way it;s spent needs to be looked at, much is wasted on idiotic ideas.
For example, concentraing on Ambukances and A&E...much of the cause of that problem is a lack of beds to move people through from A&E. There is also a lack of staff and resources, they shut a lot of A&E's down and now we don't have the capacity.
Shutting A&E's, cutting beds when we had an increasing AND ageing population...not a bright idea.
Spending millions on a "default speed limit" instead of tragetting areas and only changing signs where needed...not bright.
Spending millions on 36 more MS's in Cardiff...who wants that besides the politicians?
There's plenty of other things too.

How about spending millions setting up Welsh field hospitals during covid, when the Welsh NHS didn't have enough staff to man the normal hospitals. The real reason they were never used.

Out of curiousity, where have you seen that UC row reported?
I've seen Rupert Lowe bat some figures back and forth, but they don't tell the full story. In my experience most non-UK nationals tend to find work of some sort (admittedly some might not be legit) quite quickly.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I think I saw a reference in the Spectator, but. I found this guy when I Googled again just now, he is a practicing barrister so should not be too wacky.

The alternative was to create 10,000 new permanent beds, which the Boris Admin blocked

He's got a fairly decent grasp of things, although there are loads of things he understandably (and I think admits) that he doesn't know.
I was curious about the part where people with no recourse were allegedly getting UC because unless there is fraud or error that simply shouldn't happen and the system is designed to prevent it. The UC build automatically identifies people who need a HRT and doesn't pay them until their entitlement has been confirmed.

Same as England though. We just followed them.

I'm pretty certain the cash for the NHS is ring fenced, I don't think it can even be spent on social care.
It could definitely be spent better, my wife and I should not be able to get a free prescription for things like paracetamol or anything for that matter.
The bottom line is that the NHS hasn't had enough cash for years and it'll take years to get back to where it needs to be.
I'll be honest it needs substantial reform something like the German model.

I was told that another appointment with a different urologist would probably take a year, but fair play I think I waited 5 months or less, better than I expected.

The NHS in Wales is devolved so Boris couldn't block a Senedd decision. They couldn't have had 10,000 more beds because they still wouldn't have the staff for them.
Try harder.

You say one thing is crystal clear about Reform , what is exactly ?
"In a free society, the State is the servant of the people—not the master."
