To the best of my knowledge no official statistics are collected for crime and either asylum seekers or immigrants as a whole. However, there is some indirect information on things such as arrests by ethnic group (not all of whom will be recent immigrants).

Nobody knows what the are doing, there could be cells being organised to cause carnage here, every time you see them coming off those boats they all look like men of a fighting age, who knows what the future holds, the secret army is here already if war kicks off in Europe we could be facing an enemy already here.

This is a very emotive subject that I know quite a lot about, so I will comment, but choose my words carefully.
I've got no problem with immigration in general. Many hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions of people have relocated to the UK in the last few decades and been a significant benefit in the process. This ranges from Asians forced out by Idi Amin in the 70's, to Ukranians who arrived in the 2020's. The right kind of migration is an absolute net benefit to the UK and I've got no time for those who would prevent it entirely.
However, the insistence by the left that anyone arriving in the UK has a right to do so has opened up a hornet's nest. Albanian Gangsters. Romanian Beggars. Somali Rapists. Syrian Jihadists. All of whom would have been removed shortly after arrival by any competent Govt, but given the lack of one have arrived and thrived. |  |

Before Brexit the UK electorate could not hold our Government responsible because the EU acquis made it impossible to act. There were two more stories about migration statistics this week that raised eyebrows.
The first is a claim by Rupert Lowe and Lee Anderson that a larger percentage of foreign nationals than expected is claiming benefits. Lowe has pointed to DWP data suggesting that since April 2019 more than 3.3 million foreign nationals have successfully completed Habitual Residence Tests that help establish eligibility for Universal Credit.

The DWP says they do not recognise Lowe's figure and that passing the Habitual Residence Test does not equate to receiving benefits. However, they are not providing their own figure, and it does look like the number must be very high.
The second story is about the rising number of unaccompanied migrant children in local authority care, which is around a third of placements in some council areas.
