Teams on the Cymru league have seen a potential income stream shut down by the English FA. Hardly good news. They say it is unfair. The whole league is rigged by financial dopping they do nothing about . Man city's 135 charges. 70,000 seated stadium with station to West Ham for pennies with millions of taxpayers money. The FA gave stamped on this little scheme of little consequences for them brutally. The little guy's hope wers crushed. Good new for "we know our place Welsh" . In 2017 Swansea crushed West Ham 1-4 in the pre ultimate games at Upton Park. The Irons got "a gift" and Swansea have not been able to compete since. Huw Jenkins created a miracle but that is now history. We have to find as the odds are very much against us. [Post edited 24 Jan 14:30]

You are a flag waver with strong Anglo sympathies. You are for the status quo. That is Swansea in the championship at best. Any potential advantage offered by EUFA gas been blocked. The FA are soft on Man city West Ham and Chelsea and will not be so decisive. Swansea cannot compete.

"It was noted that it is open to the Welsh clubs to choose whether or not to participate in the English or Welsh system based on their own assessment of the relative merits of participation in each system, but if they choose to participate in the English system they must do so on the same basis as the English clubs which participate in that system.” The key paragraph and an excellent point. You either compete in the English system or Welsh system, it's up to you. Picking and choosing is not an option. Easily understood by those with an open mind and common sense. Swansea City put forward a project plan to play in the Welsh cup (part 2) on 13:13 - Jan 24 by union_jack | Let’s hope that’s the end of it. I’d be disgusted in the club if they went down a legal appeal route for all the reasons that have been mentioned but also because that will cost money. It’s well documented that we don’t have a proverbial pot to p1ss in. |
I'm sure Deloitte? didn't come cheap.

That paragraph read to me in a not so thinly veiled way “continue with this and you’re off if you want it that badly”. As has been said, it should never, ever have got this far. It’s made a fool of us but hopefully will soon be forgotten.

When you say... The key paragraph and an excellent point. You either compete in the English system or Welsh system, it's up to you. Picking and choosing is not an option. Easily understood by those with an open mind and common sense. Then yes, I'd agree. There is someone though who continues to call the sensible people (who put Swansea City first) names, anglophile amongst them. He cannot understamd the issues but calls others dim, he cannot see why the main source of our income should have a say, what has it to do with them he says...not the musings of an open mind or a sign of common sense would you say? I would.

Anyone who knows anything about football knew it was never gonna happen, it was poor madness and the fact that Coleman was pushing for it, suggests that he's learnt little in the time he's been here, very amateurish. Club is crying out for a REAL football administrator who knows the English Leagues.

Had this gone ahead teams in the Cymru league would have had their chance of European football taken away and given to us 4 EFL clubs. Man City and West Ham aren't in the EFL. It's not about putting us in our place, it's about not letting us compete in 2 different countries competitions when the other EFL clubs cannot. We haven't been able to compete because we have been so poorly run this last 9 years. When we were well run we did compete. Coleman has a lot of hard work to do and also, a lot of learning. The odds are very much against most teams outside the top 6 or 7. That came about when Sky were allowed to pump billions into football and turned the beautiful game into an ugly duckling beset by greed.
