Couple of bits from the chats afterwards - Ben Williams is still involved, along with his role at the Brooklyn Nets, and some work with Ineos and others. They've promoted somebody else to be the full time performance director here but Williams still contracted to the club and working here.
Most recent meeting with the EFL Sky have basically said they won't be announcing the live games beyond January 1 until some time in December. So you're going to get about a month's notice through the second half of the season because they want to make sure they've got the games with most riding on them. triffic. |  | | |

I thought we wanted a transfer policy which was in line with clubs ethos rather than just players the manager wants. Because as we’ve seen numerous times, when the manager leaves we need to build all over again. That said, I would be amazed if Marti doesn’t have some involvement. | | | |

I heard Marti answer questions on what new signings we were going to make during the last window, and his replies were always the same that the Club knew very well what he wanted. So for me it was clear that he was well involved in deciding what sort and who all the new signings were going to be, and the outgoings come to that, along with Nouri and the Recruitment department. | | | |

I watched on YouTube - I like Nourry even though he reminds me of Richard Thompson they are so similar.
We are building a long term project which is great to see and we are going to have a lot of bumps along the way so we all just need to be patient.

At no point have I claimed to be “ITK”, and nor have I posted a rumour.
I have simply stated my opinion as two the possible reasons for Cifuentes not being there, by the club’s design.
Provide a credible reason for Cifuentes no attending the fans forum that is not one of the two, remembering that the date could be any night the club want it (not near a game, for example).
It really is one of the two I posted. I don’t know which is it, nor which is better/less bad. |

Gotta say, and some people will take a completely opposite view but thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and Nourry from that. Maybe it helped I started watching 60 minutes in then watched the first 60 afterwards. But he certainly seems to be over the detail, clearly has a plan and treated everyone with respect (rather than his predecessors disdain). I think a number of the ideas are quite decent (I might look to book my teams next away day there). And great announcements, also confirming there will be more of these including ones with more of the footballing staff. |

Very interesting few hours yesterday evening for the club.
The manager is staying, the assistant manager is staying, Dembelé is staying, Clarke-Salter is staying. And all of this, all of this just happens to fall into place with joy and serendipity before Cifuentes meets the fans.

Impressed with Nourry, great talker and clearly has ideas.
I’ve no issue the contract lengths not being disclosed, if they are then it naturally creates a lot more social media chat particularly as they come to an end. This in turn can be picked up by other clubs which can unsettle or make our negotiations more difficult as other teams declare an interest. I don’t see this decision as a Game Changer (although interesting others have adopted) but by avoiding disclosing details a small incremental gain. |  | | |

Some could say control freak, others might call it attention to detail / finger on the pulse. There's a fine line, but its placement is open to interpretation.

As stated before my opinion is that it is possible that Marti was asked if he wanted to attend and said he’d rather not. There is also the possibility that as Nourry’s role encompasses the football side of the club it was decided he was fully capable to answer questions about this (which he did) and therefore the coach didn’t need to be there.

I have to laugh.
For the last few years one of the chief criticisms was about lines of accountability, the vagueness of who was responsible for what. Someone comes in and takes control and suddenly he's a control freak.

don't think I'm saying that at all. But what I am saying is that if there is an obvious fracture in the relationship between the CEO and the manager, it's pretty unlikely the board would offer a big pay rise. I mean what would be the point?
I know this board is all about opinions and everyone is entitled to theirs, but this particular subject seems like a non issue to me. There's doesn't seem to be a problem, but some insist on manufacturing one |  |

I have plenty of reservations about Nourry because it's so early on, but it makes a fair bit of sense to me to announce them at the same time at an event like a forum. | |

I caught up with most of it and was generally very pleased. Well organised, sensible questions and answers…and I liked the video inserts. Seems churlish to moan too much. However, did I miss anything about the Development squad ( other than continuity of style and role in progressing young talent ). For example. There’s a game today…still nothing on Offy. In the past we could watch streams of games and get first hand insight on how things are working. Now a rare event. | | | |
