Under the last Labour government the vast majority of people who came here illegally were deported almost immediately and without any fuss.

In the intervening years however with merkel and the EU inviting half of the third world to come no questions asked and the increasing judicial activism of the ECHR the problem has exponentially grown and it’s getting harder and harder to get rid of these chancers.

Germany are currently in the process of deporting a shedload of Afghans, so it's possible. OK, they're only doing it because they're terrified of the electoral threat posed by AfD at the moment, but it shows that when the motivation is there things can happen.

The last Labour Govt bear some responsibility for the current situation. Blair and Brown spent 13 years rigging the system by making it easier for their kind of people to run things. Cameron and May did nothing to change this because secretly they were their kind of people too.

Maybe if Covid hadn't done for Johnson things might have worked out differently in the last five years. Probably not given how generally disinterested in doing his actual job that he was, but maybe.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

AfD likely to win at least one state election today. Very few would want to see a rise in the politics last seen in the early 30s in Germany but at the moment an opposition party with maybe more extreme views is essential to make the main parties think. That’s why I voted for Reform.

it's party politics across the world that's gotten us where we are today.

We need to find a better way.

The parties all lead down the same road in the end. Greed, corruption, self serving, vain, obnoxious people who come together in a common cause, themselves.

Some reports now suggest Germany could be split in two again , recent far right wins in the East against a more than lenient Western policy on immigration , million plus mentioned .

The font of all knowledge and sense the internet claim Berlin and the Eastern side are worried about occupation and being overun again , they experienced it the past , now the hardliners are standing up for their own Country maybe .

File Merkel alongside Blair in the same folder , mark under useless .

I think all of Europe has woken up that uncontrolled mass illegal and legal migration has put a huge strain on housing, health care and public services.

Poll: Sholud Wales rollout vaccination at full speed.

We can all agree on that, but what's the answer? The far right or the left don't have the remedy
