Morrison was pretty tidy at Wigan last season, although not always first choice while Kerr and Goode were fit. Played left CB in a four with Charlie Hughes (who we can't afford, alas) from what I remember, perhaps looked less at home in a 3, but vocal, whole-hearted and has a good forward pass in him. Good age too. Big tick from your Northern correspondent.
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles
Brian Moore
Possibly, possibly not. I think we may actually think of playing Dunne in more of a Declan Rice type position this season. He's very comfortable on the ball and seems at ease going forward. Plus he can then drop back to CB or RB if needed but I think he may be deployed further up the park. He's 6 feet 3+ and a real presence going forward.
We should chuck in a last minute pre-season friendly against the Toffees just for the look on their fans faces when the R's are singing "Hevertton, Hevertton, Hevertton ad nauseum.

Stop this craziness Marti. All signings need to be in their final stages of career. I am worried that we are trying to build something here

I hope not too - JCS gives us great balance on the left of defence. If he does go I'd like to see us replace him with a proper left-sided centre-back, not a right-footer.
Anyone get confused by the way the journalist introducedboth their quotes by starting with ‘describing himself as a player’…? I thought they were essentially being big headed saying ‘I’m a right baller, me!’
