The opinion you got totally wrong. 18:17 - Oct 25 with 10018 viewsWestonsuperR

Following on from my question of who wanted Ainsworth, no one has admitted it. What QPR opinion or view did you have that has been the most incorrect? Happy to start, I thought Caulker was a brilliant signing and a clear indication we would stay in the Premier League long-term.

Not Rangers, but I thought Thierry Henry was rubbish when he first joined Arsenal.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

I wanted Ainsworth, i was very happy when he finally got the job last year.

I really thought we were onto something, his motivation, his desire coupled with the mercurial tactician Dobbo who we were told complied files on every opposition, every player, they told us he was the mastermind and these two would save day.

I loved it and lapped it up.

All we've actually got though is kind of our own footballing style Brexit, nothing they said was true and they can't / won't admit how wrong they were and that they have well and truly farked this up, even more so than it already was.

That's some achievement.

I also believed many years ago that Ned Zelic was the second coming of Glenn Roeder.

I thought he'd turn it round too. Not change us into a promotion winning outfit but stop the rot and return some pride to the side. I didn't think we'd go from bad to worse.

I also drank in the Beale Kool Aid. I thought he was a fresh young manager who'd have the contacts to bring in the kind of players that we hadn't been able to unearth previously (apart from Ebs). How wrong I was.

I also thought that Redknapp would be a wily old fox - Warnock type - rather than a self aggrandising knob who just wanted to enrich himself at our expense.

I don't think I'd make a very good DoF to be fair...

Oh and I also thought Dion Sanderson would be a great loan signing after playing fantastically against us the previous season. Oh and that Charlie Austin would work really hard for us as he came back because he cared, rather than being an unfit, bad-tempered, overpaid, petulant arse.

This is a bit like confession....feeling cleansed.

I stuck with Redknapp far far too long . I thought the Mittals would take over the club entirely at some point . I thought that Beale was the young progressive coach we all wanted.

Back in the Summer of 2012 I gleefully posted on Facebook about how brilliant QPR's transfer business had been of signing Samba Diakite, Ji-Sung Park and Esteban Granero against Liverpool splurging £20m+ on Joe Allen from Swansea.

As Clive wrote later regarding his initial assessment of signing Steven Caulker - "the kindest thing you can say about it is it did not age well."

It pops up every year as a Facebook memory to haunt me.

Caulker a massive one obviously, but don’t forget Jordan Mutch!

...And that Marco Ramkilde would be our next nailed on 20-goal a season striker?

I thought El Khayati was going to become a cult hero. He was so lightweight but looked slick on the ball and I loved his goal against Charlton.

We love a skilful Moroccan!
