I was gutted, but we gave it everything that day and it was one hell of an atmosphere at the Millennium Stadium. An exciting time for the club, despite the result. We could do with an iota of that spirit today…. [Post edited 25 May 2023 10:50]

Then the queues were so long after the game we walked back with loads of others, scrambling our way across wastelands and all sorts. Cardiff fans queuing to get into pubs/clubs etc were all very nice on the way out, funny that. I remember walking away from the ground then seeing all the fireworks going off above the stands inside - felt sick. Still, we had Hillsborough 12 months later, redemption!

Same here, we had to run the gauntlet back to the car pack and then out of town.... and Cardiff won!

Just reminded me, it’s 20 years ago to the day that I said to my 11 year old son, to try and dull the pain of losing on the way out the ground ‘never expect too much and you’ll never be disappointed’. Fortunately he didn’t take a blind bit of notice! 😂

Luckily when they started on him, we were by the old bill near the station. I will never forgive the shy tes for that , ever. Yet, no ban, no nothing. And lets be honest, they and Swansea etc should be nowhere near the English leagues. A pox on all their houses!

The FL replied with a 1 liner “we take this very seriously and have forwarded this to the head of security”, the police gave a very long response (which I wish I’d kept) but didn’t actually deal with any of the issues I’d raised and from QPR, from whom I’d purchased the ticket, so I’m guessing I had the contract with, NOTHING!! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I've always hated those sheep shagging f***tards ever since that day , coaches got pelted all the way out of that third world country . I hope they have their stadium burnt to the ground and get relegated to the Welsh equivalent of the conference .
