Anyone going to Boycott this 10:58 - Nov 21 with 4092 viewsonehunglow

Seriously, anyone prepared to put their head above the parapet and say they refuse to countenance watching these deeply stained football matches coming up.
I won’t as I’m a born hypocrite but I doubt I ll enjoy it.
Wales losing and coming home early would be ok for me.
Then,we can concentrate on building our club.
As for Joe,will he play again?

I only intend watching the Cymru matches.

I suppose that is hypocritical but I can remember the 1958 campaign and don't expect to see another.

You do realise the world has moved on from 1966 , or maybe not ?

Nah I’ll watch, but I am happy enough in my ignorance.

I’m not going to pretend I’m fighting other counties humanitarian issues, fully aware that whilst I am against how other counties conduct their affairs, I will still consume their products.

I wouldn’t insult the people of Qatar by pretending I am going to do anything about it.

We have to report this on our website and we also have to give opinion, it really is as simple as that.
Boycotting it is as real as ignoring it.

I’m all for people boycotting it if they mean it.

By that I mean it’s not a few week stance that can be vocalised for attention, and it’s a consistent standard set and not just for high profile things where people can Grandstand off the back of it.

If someone boycotts all Chinese products, most designer products who exploit people, most clothing made in Asia, do not use Tik Tok or any Chinese Government invested media and social media etc etc etc then I fully respect those people.

I’ve never met one though and doubt many exist.

It's an event that has been sullied by (not about the fans anymore!) corporates, corruption and hypocrisy of players being paid millions of pounds a year, whilst displaying self-indulgent acts and words of nauseating virtue signalling hypocrisy...And doing so wearing shirts and boots made by means of £1 pound an hour slave labour.

Then there are the 35p an hour workers at the tournament and slave labour construction workers who died working in appalling conditions. But hey the players don't arf know how to robotically take the knee and pretend that they all care! Intelligence insulting stuff!

Which lets be honest is the same way 99% of the country thinks.

Some will pretend otherwise.

One question that needs to be asked is;-

"Have the world cup in Qatar improvement the of the socially excluded".

Mr Infantino's speech emphatically proved it has not.

No regret no lessons learned no funds for workers mistreated no compensation for death ad injury. Out of the £220 billion sent it would only need £ 100m fund to give every worker family $10,000 compo.

It reflects v badly on Qatar and the Wahabi / Salafist Sunni faith. This promote piousness and humility. The humble have not bee treated right and go their fair share of the $220 billion. . The guilt for the fate of Muslim workers and other is coming from Christians and atheist societies of Scandinavia.

This comes as no surprise and nothing to do with human rights in my opinion. . It is your recurring narrative day after day.

Why would they need to put aside all that money if as they allege only 3 died.

Having that money for compo would mean the Qataris have been lying. Surely they wouldn’t do that

"As for Joe, we he play again"? I said here in the house yesterday that I can see Joe retiring and soon, especially if he doesn't take part in any games, I think its looking nailed on, unfortunately.

These multi-millionaire players would gain more respect with genuine self-sacrifice and acts of real charity.

They should not be doing stunts associated with corrupt Marxist "defund the police" scamsters. I can't see any of them being against the slave labour and impoverishing child-labour exploitation that comes from greedy corporates!

Nah, that won't happen because that'll annoy their sponsors, advertisers, pay-masters and others that help them to stuff their pockets.

They will never bite the hands that dishes out the filthy lucre by the million, thus they will continue with their zero-end-product empty gesture bull***t.

The blame lies squarely at the feet of FIFA's hierarchy, simply gutless folded over the alcohol issue and now stopping players expressing their wishes scandalous, gutless louses that have had their pockets filled by the Qataries.

Roy Keane just said that the players should have stuck to their guns if they truly believe in what they wanted to do, its hard to disagree.

I gave myself the Wales game tonight but may not watch another (Wales included), the stink comes through the TV.

Yeah it won't make a difference to the people executed for their sexuality in QATAR, but it will make a difference to the feeling of sickness in my stomach.
