New owners incoming? 10:02 - Apr 30 with 24579 views | TheChef | Given the slightly odd situation with contract renewals, the arrival of the new board member in February (which unfortunately coincided with our on-pitch collapse), is this all pointing to a clean slate and new owners come the end of the season?

New owners incoming? on 10:25 - Apr 30 with 9211 views | davman | No idea, but if they are, let's not repeat the last takeover where it dragged on up to the end of the transfer window leading to panic and ridiculous purchases in the transfer market. The fact that this board ended up buying a team in the Premier League with a worse team than the one that won the Championship sums our club up and was a big contributing factor to our failure in the Prem under Warnock. If only we'd built on that team (eg: keeping Routledge) methodically instead of the Supermarket last minute sweep. That team was much, much better equipped to build than the crazy batshit team that went up through the Playoffs under an overrated manager, incapable of coaching or improvising. Our history is all about missed opportunities, isn't it...

Been asking the same question for several weeks, particularly as several consortiums are looking at our neighbours - and they can't all be successful.

... With no way of spending any spare cash a rich owner may have because a club of our size cannot do that with these P&S rules. The times of "building" a Scum or a Citee are well gone...

We were never going to be a massive club, riches notwithstanding. New owners would need to be realistic and see what can be achieved if you're intelligent, professional and appoint the right people. Just look at Brentford. [Post edited 30 Apr 2022 13:59]

Brentford would be a great example! to follow. Much as I detest a lot of their supporters ( not the ones on here of course) - I have a lot of admiration for what they have achieved ( and some envy). Thing is, we aren't allowed nice things 🙄 How much would we cost to buy anyway?

Speaking of American money i watched a superb documentary / private video on the collapse of Man Utd since 2011 or there abouts. It points directly to the Glazer family who run an very successful NFL team (Tampa Bay Buccaneers ) yet completly ripped off Utd Not only with their financial shady dealings but appointing the wrong person to oversee personnel decisions which crippled them. Nothing to do with QPR of course just something worth watching . As for our situation its time for every QPR player to look deep into a mirror and say together " our sh*t play over 3 months led to a good man getting fired " MW said clearly there is no guarantee he will be offered a job with so many other managers out there so think about that

That sounds plausible. Maybe they are fresh investment to get the new stadium finally resolved. We'll know soon enough I expect.

If the current owners were hoping to sell, surely they’d want to sell a premier league asset and not squander the a very good league position in January

They can have as much cash as they like we don’t have a viable site for a new stadium and don’t look likely to anytime soon . Shame they didn’t come along when the diary crest site was Aval not so long ago , never has a site been more suitable for the super stadium uncle Tony wanted and thought he could get on the cheap at car giant , prob would have been built by now as well

New owners incoming? on 01:12 - May 1 with 7266 views | VancouverHoop | Any new owner would have to take on our debt, which – if memory serves – remains pretty sizeable. That, plus the ground constraints already mentioned, make it a really bad time to sell unless the current owners are desperate. Are they?

Well if you'd bought into a little club on the sly in January thinking it was absolutely definitely going to be in the play-offs and might push for second giving you a really cheap chunk of a Premier League club, and then it ends up 16th, what would you be agitating about?
