The Athletic has a deep dive into the recent Swindon Town story today. The son of Curran gets a good mention without any conclusions being drawn (I’m sure the lawyers kept a close eye on it!).

A fascinating read, including the time the players had to listen to the PA announcement while warming up, to find out if they were playing! I’d copy and paste but their lawyers might keep a close eye on that too.

The link sits behind a paywall but the headline of the story "The complete and utter shambles..." gives you a clue.

Taylor Curran you say? Is he the son of Andrew Kirk Curran?

Rumoured that Dad paid his wages so that he could get a game and when that stopped happening so did he.

Looks like young Taylor Curran is coming up his next major career milestone.

Nearly 850 minutes of competitive League football at all levels and his 20th career appear in over THREE years. He's not played since the end of October at Maidstone and Maidstone are winning without him.

Even Graham Lancashire played more football than that!

Taylor even had the cheek to have a pop at Swindon fans in September:

He must be Swindon record holder for most unused outfield sub?
