Derby now 4th bottom on 11:08 - Apr 25 by Esox_Lucius | It's a shame, but I can't see The Millers getting another point in the games they have left. |
Well the Bus Stop have qualified for playoffs again so will likely be resting players and trying not to get injured. You never know, its a funny old game
Derby now 4th bottom on 15:21 - Apr 25 with 3908 views | OldPedro | The fact that only a few clubs near the bottom have anything to play for now makes these games even more difficult to predict. Even the goal difference is very similar, so still a chance for Rotherham and/or Sheff Weds to catch Derby. Huddersfield could still end up going down if Rotherham and Derby pick up some wins. Rotherham 39pts (-15) - games left versus: Brentford Blackburn Rovers Luton Town Cardiff City Huddersfield Town 47pts (-21) - games left versus: Coventry City Reading Sheffield Wednesday 39pts (-21) - games left versus: Nottingham Forest Derby County Derby County 43pts (-21) - games left versus: Swansea City Sheffield Wednesday [Post edited 25 Apr 2021 15:22]

Derby now 4th bottom on 15:51 - Apr 25 with 3812 views | W6R | It would be quite pleasurable to see them relegated, i have never liked them. They are as arrogant today as when we beat them at Loftus rd in 1969 in the FA Cup 1-0.
Derby now 4th bottom on 15:59 - Apr 25 with 3812 views | Match82 | Given the choice I'd rather Wednesday went down. Outrageous that they managed to negotiate their way out of it last year, if they end up staying up again because they negotiated a deduction down again from a 12 point deduction they agreed to 6 that would be a joke

With a bit of luck both will go down, fitting justice for both.
Derby now 4th bottom on 17:19 - Apr 25 with 3687 views | ManinBlack | Sadly I think Rotherham won't do it and Derby will stay up despite of Rooney because of the Millers poor end to the season. In fairness I am more concerned about Luton knocking us out of the top 10. Their comeback away win today I think was their 9th on the road so they will be dangerous in the final game. They are just two points behind with their game in hand at home to Rotherham who look shot. If we think we have a shout next season then Luton must think the same as they are finishing strongly too. Bad defeat for us yesterday probably ending our hopes of finishing with a plus GD made worse as for once we did not get 3 points at least off one of the top teams. Hugely frustrating as we should have won at their place at the death.
Derby now 4th bottom on 13:24 - May 1 with 3277 views | stevec | Forest doing everything they can to avoid scoring, even missed a gift of a penalty, but Sheff Wed are an unbelievably bad team. This has been one piss poor division this season. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Derby now 4th bottom on 16:28 - May 1 with 3121 views | TGRRRSSS | Yes looking at the as it stands, Wycombe cannot possibly get the goals required - so only Wednesday could do it, if it stays this way and they overhaul the goals win and Derby lose last game. Derby must be gutted it's not CPR coming up.

Everything hangs on the Luton game. If they beat them on Tuesday 0-1, Wednesday are down baring a 6 goal swing* on the last day which is not out of the question. If Rotherham beat Luton then Wednesday will throw everything at Derby to get a 0-3/0-4 scoreline and hope that Cardiff can muster up a 3-0/2-0 against Rotherham. Cardiff have nothing to play for so Rotherham could easily grind out a 1-1 but if they fail to beat Luton, it's just a winner takes all between Derby and Wednesday next week. I'd love it if Rotherham could do it. I've wanted Wednesday to go down all season after their delayed and then reduced points deduction and if WRDC were to go with them, how sweet would that be? *I haven't looked up who would go down if the goal difference was the same as there's no point if they don't beat Luton. Also, If Rotherham draw with Luton* and win at Cardiff, and Weds beat Derby the Rotherham stay up and Weds and Derby go down. * This also works if Rotherham lose to Luton and win at Cardiff, bar a big gd swing.

Yeah, swapping the Luton and Cardiff games around ends with the same result but in my head I always think of Luton away as an easier ask than Cardiff away but in reality, they are not that different any more. So just win away at both (so no need to check the results) and send the two "big clubs" down, do for me. I wonder how many of us Championship neutrals will be cheering on Rotherham this week, most I would think.

Derby now 4th bottom on 08:01 - May 2 with 2261 views | NorthantsHoop | Hoping that both Derby and Wednesday go down, they should do, especially with all the financial dodgy dealings with stadium sales. Rotherham can still so it, but their recent form has been poor and they've rather blown some of their winnable games in hand, since they beat us. Think Derby will escape the drop.
Derby now 4th bottom on 10:18 - May 3 with 1840 views | eastside_r | Can anyone with Sky confirm whether they do a round-the-grounds coverage on the last day of the season? Obviously I will have our game on but might also be worth a tenner investment with Now TV on another screen.
Derby now 4th bottom on 10:31 - May 3 with 1790 views | Juzzie | I think Derby will escape simply because Rotherham are spent. Both clubs are right near the bottom of the form table (along with Sheff Weds) so for Derby it’s just a case of who is worse than them to survive. No doubt if they do survive it’ll be hailed as a gallant success when it’s quite simply a shambles. Conversely at the other end of the table all four clubs in the play offs are in the top 7 of the form table (we’re 5th) so it really could go any way. [Post edited 3 May 2021 10:34]
