A lot higher. Many will have taken the option on the iFollow option (which has turned out to be pointless as we can't use it for away games) and many will have just done nothing and not claimed it back.

Wall of thanks on 16:38 - Sep 18 with 3665 views | isitme | I suspect a lot of people will have just donated their money to the club and are not bothered to have their name on a wall. I mean who would donate to charity and then expect to tell other people about it, unless it was a significant amount of money?

Wall of thanks on 17:14 - Sep 18 with 3532 views | 56years | Here here! To me the club gave an option which it appears many people chose to take up and the initial post was acknowledging that and saying well done. It may well be that some people chose not to, fine, but surely we should acknowledge the club’s efforts and the supporters themselves. If the club hadn’t done anything there would have been criticised by some on here. At times it appears that the Club can’t win whichever way it goes. To me the cup is half full- well done the 632 and if there are others who chose to forgo their refund, well done to them as well!

Don't think people are bitter are they? Well done to everyone who didn't take a refund, the club will be hugely grateful.

I was just pointing out there are many people that didn’t want their name published, I personally know 5!. So well done to everyone who could afford / wanted to not take the refund, so the club could have acknowledged them as well, no bitterness

Good question. I'm not aware of any bitterness from anywhere. I didn't seek a refund, I have no idea whether my name is on the wall or not - the idea was surely to assist the club in financially difficult times.

Nice gesture form the club and as said the true number of non refunders will he a lot higher (I’m not on there, didn’t want my name on a wall).

Yes, i was one of them Said it was a bad idea at the time, and not changed it since The "wall" will have cost money to put together, which pretty much defeats the object, don't you think? Well done to those who chose not to take a refund, or want it publicising. It's sad that anyone should feel the need, or for the club to waste money on their account [Post edited 18 Sep 2020 20:46]

Of course its clear to you, feeling dead chuffed at getting your name on a wall, after 56 years loyal support Well done, sir I've only managed 55 so far, but i now realise the error of my ways, and i'm suddenly feeling terribly unappreciated and unrecognised Where is this wall? We need to know, so we can pay homage

Wall of thanks on 07:48 - Sep 19 with 2734 views | isitme | What about David Clough who left thousands to the club and raised even more through his tireless work over the years. Where is his 'wall'?
Wall of thanks on 08:02 - Sep 19 with 2720 views | Boss_Hog | The tribute to David Clough is being worked on, as is his legacy. This is all in-hand and being conducted by fellow supporters with the aim of improving the club and making sure people never forget such a great man. As for the 'Wall of Thanks,' it is a fantastic gesture by the club. Sometimes they just cannot win, the cost of production will be minimal and it acknowledges a generous gesture by many in difficult times.

It seems like most I didn't want my name on a wall in acknowledgement but I can see the appeal for some fans especially the kids. Most importantly is how I think the club did a great job in offering a range of choices to suit as many fans as possible.

That is really good to hear and I look forward to its fruition. The point about the wall is that it should have been all or nothing, or probably just nothing. Lots of people did not claim back what they were entitled to but for whatever reason did not email the club requesting that their name was added to the wall. What about those who did claim a refund but have been season ticket holders/attended games for years. Are they any less of a supporter than someone whose requested their name on a wall? Personally, and I appreciate people will have wildly different points of view it was all a bit unnecessary. It's a bit like me working a day at a charity shop and posting about it on social media!
Wall of thanks on 10:44 - Sep 19 with 2520 views | jimmysbaldhead | Might be wrong about this but I thought if you e-mailed the club saying you didn't want a refund you get your name on the wall. If you didn't e-mail the club then the club passed your tickets on to key workers and so wouldn't get to keep the money in this difficult period. That's why I e-mailed the club, for me it wasn't about getting my name up on any wall but to make sure the club got to keep the money. As i said I may be wrong but I thought that was the only way to ensure the club kept the money.

The wall is a good idea for those who donated and wanted their name shown. It really won't have cost much. However, the club cocked the whole thing up badly....never mind doing a great job !!! If they had announced the refund thing more openly, and not in such an underhand sneaky way, they would have been looking at probably less than 50 fans needing a refund. As it was, they annoyed almost everyone I know and probably had to issue upwards of 500 cash refunds....perhaps even more. Does anyone know how many refunds had to be processed? It looks like it might be approaching 1000 based on the numbers. Isitme asks a valid question. Does asking for your money back make anyone who has been a season ticket holder for 20 years any less of a supporter ? How about another Wall for fans who have bought at an increased price during times of such uncertainty.

The club would've still kept the money in the second instance I suspect as the majority of the key workers probably wouldn't have been paying customers anyway. In non-COVID times, we tend to have 6000+ empty spaces in the ground on a match day, so it's not like those giveaway tickets would've prevented people who wanted to buy tickets from coming to the game. It was a way to keep the money whilst also possibly bringing more fans into the ground I think.

You have no idea how many refunds were issued, no one I know asked for one, but they didn’t ask for their names to go on a wall. I suspect the amount of refunds were quite a low number( just a guess). I didn’t ask for a refund in two tickets I had bought, and I have bought a season card, probably a poor investment, but I think the club is worth supporting. I am aware that not everyone can afford to do this, and that doesn’t make them a lesser supporter
