Not much you can do about a transfer target if:
1. You are outbid.
2. You get gazumped
3. Player prefers another club
One of those is a deal breaker, I think we lost out on 2&3.
What's past is history and you have views of it different from others. Doesn't seem to matter what rational is presented, you ain't changing your opinions. Not much point in repeating the same stuff, if there is no new information, as others less outraged than you ain't changing theirs. | | | |

The club bid first and bid decisively (for a fee you were saying we'd never do when dismissing the story as bllx not last week by the way) and from what Norf suggests the player was receptive. Another club who just lost in the playoffs came in for the same price, probably offering more wages than we could, with a manager who's been keen on him for years and style of play the player felt suited him more. It is absolutely disgusting. Joorabchian is a worm. He is a everything wrong with British football.
How any club is willing to pay him/his firm to be “Football Advisors” when he and his firm are invested in the players he recommends bringing in (so he gets a cut), I do not know. It’s corrupt. It simply wouldn’t be legal in almost all other regulated industries. The only reason I can think of is that other stakeholders in said clubs get a cut.
It is bent.
And even parking all that, where has he made a club better?! His track record is abysmal in terms of advise on player signings. |  | | |
