I'd heard since about Parker. Bellamy was news, would have been an interesting signing. A very Rangers type of player in many ways. Odd personality, though.

Yeh defo mate. Warnock seemed to have a bit of sympathy for Philip Beard. Sounded like he was in over his head when it came to negotiating contracts. Fernandes first cock up was employing him. The first of many of course. Interesting Warnock went round TF's gaff to help try and sell the club to him. Obviously trying to push the deal to hurry up so he could buy the players he wants..

He mentioned Cardiff a fair bit . Was Bellamy there that season? I know we got Bothroyd from them. What a lazy player he turned out to be.!

Fans had a part to play in that 6k plus singing "Premier League your having a laugh " at the MK DONS cup game and people on twitter tweeting the chairman saying he wasn't up to the job etc Unfortunately TF listened and the rest is history

I was there at that game, and certainly remember fans chanting Warnock out too and thinking they were mental.

Yeh hands up I think I wrote it looked like the dressing room had left him (he says it had in his book, though not on the pod) and that it was great that TF was engaging with fans on twitter after Briatore’s animosity towards us. Wrong on all counts and profoundly regretted.

This week's podcast on 20:21 - May 17 with 3779 views | terryb | I think the crowd may have been influenced by us only gaining one point from the previous six matches. We had 16 points after 14 games & 17 after 20. Of course, it didn't improve too much after Hughes took over!
This week's podcast on 21:46 - May 17 with 3699 views | DWQPR | Played in a charity match at LR in 2010 and was in NW’s team playing against a Keith Curle team. Played rolling subs and given my lack of fitness at the time I thankfully spent more time on the bench and was able to have a good chat with NW. my impression at the time was that he was a decent, genuine person who really wanted to learn about the club from a supporters point of view. Thoroughly enjoyed my chat with him. He is certainly someone who will defend his corner and his team and I suspect he would have felt great disappointment by the antics displayed by the likes of SWP and Barton.

This week's podcast on 03:45 - May 18 with 3599 views | charmr | Sorry I just wasn’t a fan of his, says what he wants you to here. Coupled With that stupid badge, boutique club £200 slippers and cashmere blankets, Ecclestone, the pathological liar Paladini and as a Rangers legend who worked under Briatore once described him as the most horrible person they have ever met. Didn’t feel like Rangers any more. Hard for me to enjoy that season and the upcoming ones. It was a good team though, played some exquisite stuff at times with Paddy Kenny being magnificent. Warnock lost the dressing room apparently after slaughtering Faurlin for not fouling in a counter attack that cost us a late goal at LR. Can’t remember the game. Feel the club has its identity and it’s soul back now. I care about that stuff that’s all. [Post edited 18 May 2020 3:59]

It was the 1-1 draw at home to West Brom. I believe Faurlin has said that he should have brought the player down but he didn't get in the right position to do so. It was also about 70 yards away from our goal. SWP wrongly had a goal disallowed for offside as well. If I think about it, Young, Ferdinand, SWP & Barton started well for us & our performances were very good against Newcastle, Wolves, Stoke & City in particular. What went wrong for us & for those players I've no idea, but we did go downhill very quickly. It may even be that the Terry racist affair had an effect. It definitely did on Anton!
This week's podcast on 10:42 - May 18 with 3423 views | daveB | A lot of the stick Warnock got that Premier League season came from defeats to Liverpool and Man Utd where we didn't really lay a glove on them and seemed just happy to be there. There was a real rumbling among the fans on the way home from Anfield that day that he might not be the right man, I thought that was insane at the time and still do but it wasn't all down to fernandes our fans played a part in his downfall as well. The home defeat to Norwich where Joey Barton got himself sent off was the killer blow for him imo rather than the MK Dons game.

For me it was more the Norwich and Sunderland games over Christmas. There'd been a general understanding that our fixtures were bloody tough through November and December, but we then had Sunderland, Swansea, Norwich and MK Dons over Christmas and won none of them, losing the two home games.
