Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Gwynt y Ddraig Black Dragon isn't bad. I can remember lots of people getting pissed about 25 years ago on some local ciders and scrumpy at the Shrewsbury flower show of all places. They were something like 9.7%.

For some reason they weren't there the next year

I have these sometimes in my local once I've got bored with lager, a couple just to finish off the day, they do the job to send me off to bed. Tastes like Rough cider did in my local back in the late 70's/early 80's, but way way stronger.

My favourite too, but not by enough to pay the ridiculous cost of it.

I'll happily drink Lidl or Aldi gutrot. I'm not exactly a cider connoisseur. Lidl 'vintage' at 1.29 a bottle is nice too I think.

Reminds me of a trip a couple of us made to Slapton Sands many years ago. We went to a small pub that made its own cider. The landlord looked at me suspiciously when I asked for a pint of scrumpy. He eventually agreed that I could have a half if I drank it over 20 mins, we had a few of these over the evening. We could not remember much about the evening in the morning but one of us had a cracking black eye.

Same happened to me when I was 16. Angel in Grosmont. Remember one of the old boys warning me. Went to the toilet outside. That was the last thing I remember from that night.

Wetherspoon's in Wind St. back in late 90's had a cider festival.....bloody carnage!!!

Cloudy cider was the killer that day. Blokes spewing, women chopsing, bins being chucked everywhere.
The beer garden of the Cross Keys had to be closed as many decided to turn it into a rugby pitch.
Dump tackles going on and police and ambulance were there.
I woke up in a guesthouse in Oystermouth Road. Had no recollection of how I got there.
Some blokes had kipped on the beach.

Lilley's DarkCidre is pretty good. It's like Carling Premier, but cider. Also more than 7%.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

😂 I can see all that chaos in my mind's eye right now.

First time I ever felt the effect of alcohol was in the car park of a pub in Somerset, near Nether Stowey I think. I must have been about 13, and my step-dad came out of the pub with a tray of drinks and packets of cheese & onion crisps. Port and lemon for my mum, pop for my sisters and a half pint of cloudy farmhouse cider for me. Can remember staggering around the car park in the bright sunshine with my head in a spin.

Haven't stopped drinking since.

But no cider for me these days...seen too many senseless, ridiculous, ugly punch ups over nowt after cider drinking sessions in my 20s.
