For a club who have not had a pot to p*ss in for years to have already signed 13?and counting new players is unbelievable. Will again have problems if a wage cap is imposed

Agree with 13. Didn't have any money not long ago! Nathan Delfouneso, two year deal from Blackpool Jak Hickman, one year deal with the option of a further year after leaving Coventry. Matt Gilks, most recently played for Fleetwood and will also serve as Bolton's goalkeeping coach. Gethan Jones, one year deal from Carlisle . Reiss Greenidge two year contract has been playing in Norway for Arendal. Ricardo Santos, two year deal from National League side Barnet Billy Crellin, season-long loan from League One side Fleetwood Town. Liam Gordon, two year contract from Dagenham & Redbridge. Tom White, season-long loan from Blackburn. Brandon Comley, two year deal from Colchester. George Taft, two year deal from Cambridge United. Antoni Sarcevic, two year deal from Plymouth. Eoin Doyle, three year deal from Swindon.

The only one of those who might be of use to Dale is.Gethan Jones, who is a decent enough right back. Know nothing about Greenidge or Gordon, so I'll let them off, but the rest are a very mixed bag. Comley, White and Sarcevic are midfielders, of which we have an abundance,. Haft and Santos are big donkey centre halves who are good at hoofing, but struggle to remember what colour their team plays in. Gilks is a reasonable keeper, Crellin a promising young keeper, but are they better than Lynch and Wade? Hickman fell foul of social media, giving Cov a good excuse to get rid of someone who was no use to them. Delfouneso has been a show pony for the last ten years and Doyle only scores under the management of Richie Wellens (whose still at Swindon). Bottom half for them. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Greenidge or Gordon used to open the batting for the West Indies, I believe.

Some good players there in my opinion. Not necessarily players that we need, but players like Sarcevic and Delfouneso are good additions at League Two level and given what our chairman said the other day, you'd have to expect most L2 teams are in a similar boat to us and won't be able to make too many additions this summer. I'd be (very) surprised if Bolton aren't top three.

so that is number 14 on day wage cap introduced.Perhaps to get over this situation it will be a case of paying a percentage of wages each month or not at all,but then that couldn't happen at Bolton, could it?

radio bolton. on 17:19 - Sep 5 with 2814 views | BlueMessiah | Sadly Radio Bolton have been knocked out of the EFL Cup. At least they can now concentrate on promotion which, of course, they've already won. In other sad news Tranmere also went out on penalties which is completely unfair as they were doing well and had there been extra time, they would certainly have won. They've been robbed by the EFL yet again!!

Jack Dearden didn't like being challenged the other day about why they were publicising a discussion segment on Bolton's 23 years at the Reebok/Macron in a way that suggested 23 years was some sort of milestone.

Wasn't someone going to do a Freedom of Information request for details of the BBC deal with Bolton. If such a deal exists, it is clearly against the BBCs impartiality code if they claim it doesnt exist, they need to answer the question why they continually air Notlob matches . Either way there is no hiding from the blatent unfairness.. I wrote and accused them of bias in favour of Notlob but never received even the decency of anything other than their proforma reply. promising a more detailed resonse needless to say nada has emerged but... covid... the new excuse for all crappy service.
