I’d love to live somewhere where skiing is on the doorstep. I’m no great skier (typical Brit with the odd week here and there) but the time we spent in the NE of the US was a real eyeopener. To be able to go out for the morning and then get back in time for the kids getting home from school was superb. Just like going for a walk on the beach here (but on snow, with planks strapped to your feet, more hilly, and colder )
