Didn't they make it clear that Surridge being recalled freed up the resources to loan Brewster? Seemed pretty clear that this will be the only incoming player unless someone else leaves.

He is only someone in some our fans eyes not anyone else, so he scored a goal in a derby between two pretty poor teams, what else is he known for stop being so dramatic mun.

Don't think the club has announced anything specific, although common sense would suggest that players out = players in. There were plenty of people confidently declaring that we wouldn't sign anyone regardless though.

Brewster is on 10K a week at Liverpool and that's all we're covering in terms of his loan, and a fine if we don't play him. The loan has cost us £240,000 and we just about got it done.

He's been injured a while so nobody had seen much of him. But, I'm happy to back Klopps judgement. Of course it's a risk, but bearing in mind we are basically in a corner for signings, better to come from Liverpool surrounded by that talent than get some Surridge clone.

Without appearing negative Risca as I have mentioned earlier can the situations really be compared. You yourself are critical of the state of this current side how do things compare to the side Borini joined? We have relied on youth in the past Tosh turned to a young cuddly Lewis to solve a centre back crisis in our promotion season to Div 1 but again he came into a side with experience defined style of play and vacs of confidence does this sound like us at the moment. I'm glad we have a signing but is it the right one at the right time? [Post edited 7 Jan 2020 20:36]

£127,500 loan fee, plus £150,000 if we get promoted. Must start 50% of games, and feature in 75% of games unless injured. Just saying.

Yes, should have left it a day to see what figures were chucked out. Could have been 20k a goal lol.

Completely agree but perplex is writing him off due to him being inexperienced at senior level. Who did people expect us to sign?

Is that right? Reasonable by football standards, but still silly money for most of the rest of us. Oh, and just to add, I hate these 'must play' clauses. Any manager should be able to pick and choose whover he wants without it being dictated by the bean counters or other clubs. [Post edited 7 Jan 2020 21:23]
