It depends how good your golf is. If you are shite, then a £180 club isn't going to make any difference. If you are a decent player then yes, its possible it will make a slight difference.

Get yourself down to the nearest american golf shop and try a few out.
You will get good advice.
For me i cant hit a fvcking driver at all so i use a 2 or 3 iron off the tee, yes the ball doesnt go as far but at least i hit it straight enough and im still in play. |  | | |

Personally, I wouldn't go to American Golf, I'd want to actually see where I was hitting the ball (not on a tracker)
Try a couple - Hensol (Llantrisant junction off M4) is good, or a local Pro.
Price the club on the internet, the Pro at Swansea Bay will 'price match' - others probably will too |  | | |
