Jofra Archer has been named in the squad, and rightly so. He offers genuine pace and he’s still relatively unknown to the other teams. I don’t agree with the omission of David Willey though. I wouldn’t have had Liam Dawson. But hey ho.
This is the first round robin CWC since Australia/New Zealand in 1992. For me, that was the best CWC. Australia were big favourites, but lost their first four games. England are big favourites for this one. Let’s hope we get off to a better start.
Come on England ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿.

What bollox. So men will beat women at football, so what? Men will likely beat women at tennis due to being stronger, larger and faster within the same size court, but Wimbledon does not distinguish between the sexes in prize money. https://www.totalsportek.com/tennis/wimbledon-prize-money/
And what was all that ad hominem snide rubbish about not singing the national anthem, et cetera? Completely irrelevant to the subject of player remuneration.
There is an argument against equal pay and that is when there is a disparity between the popularity of the two gender competitions, eg, women's netball should be better paid because it draws a much larger audience than men's netball (yes, there is such a thing). If the bloke could stop ranting against feminism maybe he'd think more clearly.

if its 200/2, he'll score a half century. if youre playing afghanistan, he'll score 150
its a bit harsh to compare him to brearly, or in modern terms, mortaza from bangladesh (who can neither bowl nor bat). but to me, hes the weak link of a really really good batting lineup.
I see your point but he is the leading England one day run scorer of all time..average of 40 and a strike rate of 94, higher strike rate than KP

Agreed. He has patchy runs of form here and there, but not sure how anyone could suggest our leading run scorer is not international class? He’s drifted out of the test team and we now have better one day batsmen, but he’s still a potential match winner in a team full of match winners.
This England team is something so special, don’t just win, but win playing enthralling aggressive cricket.
If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled. PG Wodehouse
Morning lads, was looking at last minute tickets but not paying £900 for Compton / Eddich lower!
I’d like to see us have a bowl first, always movement first hour at lords, I think we will win, however if we don’t, as much as I’d be gutted if there was another team I’d like to see win it’s the kiwis, let’s go!

Think most Kiwis feel same - just didn’t want to lose to bloody Aussie again! Just hope team give proper account this time as last final was all over after 30mins & following 6-7hrs was a slow death. Think our best shot is bowling first & Boult doing damage but we defended an average score vs India so who knows... Decent weather there today?

Think it's raining. I'll be devestated if the weather ruins it today.

I think that we'll get a game today and a result. Looks quite cloudy though - will be a good toss to win and bowl I should think. If we have to bat then we might need the bottom order to fire. Come on England (and Wales)!

Kiwis well behind where they need to be at the moment. Excellent bowling.
I think they’re in a decent position.
Archer and particularly woakes are difficult to score against. They’re better off having only lost one wicket. Can target wood rashid and stokes later on
250 will be difficult to chase
