Just a joke mate, it seems we are taking an awful long time in getting our head of recruitment in. The longer that takes the longer the wait for any transfers I expect.

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I personally don't think you will see much movement in transfers this summer for Championship clubs other than loans and next to nothing transfer fees. I think 99% of clubs are struggling with debt. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Agreed. I’ll be surprised if we make a permanent signing. Two or three loans I reckon.

August 9th the window closes. But goes on for another 3 weeks in other countries. What happens if offers come in after the domestic window is closed.

My personal opinion.... Owners won’t be bothered either way and sell, our fans will then turn on manager if results go south.

Nothing to stop players leaving after our window closes. It makes no sense whatsoever to close the window so early. An argument has been it means teams will have their squads fro the start of the season but that's boll***s. The January window happens while games go ahed. The FA has for a long time considered itself above all other regulatory bodies and is imposing change for its own sake - it could affect the Premier League far more than us.

I love Montero, but I reluctantly agree. If we managed to keep him fit, he could rip it up, but he's almost certainly on higher wages than we'd like, a gamble on staying fit and keeping other wingers from getting chances. Let him go. Shame.

That’s the way I see it. Unplayable on his day but just never been able to stay fit, and never will.
Swansea City Transfer Thread on 10:34 - Jun 30 with 3057 views | Chief | Obviously he has his issues but I do worry that him going along with James leaves us short on pace and explosive ess out wide. We'd be left with Dyer, Routledge and Asoro. So 2 with a footballing brain and no pace & a guy with loads of pace and no footballing brain. Beyond them you're looking at John or Mckay.

Thought Potters handling of Montero was spot on using him as an impact player. Clotet will know exactly what Jeff brings to the table but a risk whoever snaps him up!

Asoro will come good this year under Cooper. His pace will make him essential to us and he'll blossom. Or he won't. John and McKay won't blossom.

I agree. Potter also had plans on how to train him and play him in order to not get injured like he did in the past. Unfortunately he was loaned out after that, so we were unable to see if it worked.
