Can a Championship club afford to travel to the US for pre-season if finances are so bad?

Not at all. In fact it's safe to say that all the Stateside Jacks hate those two douchebags as much as anyone else.

Stateside Jacks are merely doing a little investigative reporting here. They got their info from this tweet:

West Brom had a midseason jaunt to Dubai the other day so why not?

Stay in DC and use facilities owned by them. Cheap as chips.

I can see why they would want to do this. Both clubs are owned by the same people, it’s unlikely there will be any fees etc for arranging games, the revenue generated will go to DC Utd and probably Swansea City, the facilities are then and available etc. To the owners it will make more sense than going somewhere else and splitting or giving the funds to another team.

I am obviously not happy with what’s going on at the club, but I can see why this is happening.

As long as DC United don't invoice for use of those facilities.

They probably should. At mates rates. Otherwise the shareholders in one club with no involvement in the other might upset.

Hopefully it will be cancelled for numerous horrible reasons I wouldn't put on here.
