They're too old for us now, but could link up with Trems in the U23s.

Yes we need more geriatrics in the team.

I'm sure there is an LNG tanker leaving Milford Haven that could improve our mobility in midfield.

Upthecity!

Your side can't be that crap, Darren.

Gerrard's legs are gone. One of the highest paid imports in MLS, he was on the bench a fair bit towards the end.

Lampard somewhat benefitted from the fact Noo Yawk FC's pitch was smaller than it should be ( below minimum legal width )... pretty poor including getting booed. Improved in his latter stages there...

They are past it at Prem level - and you can guarantee they would want big money, not money for their current ability levels.

Where?

He's not box to box anymore. You'd have to play him in the no 10 role. Doesn't Sigurdsson play there? Can't expect anything from him in terms of defending...

He'd want big money due to being a "superstar" and can guarantee he'd be the first to f*** off if you did get relegated.

Do you seriously have nothing of note coming up from the Academy / u23 side?

EDIT: Lampard's MLS salary for 2016 was £6m. Same for Gerrard. Errm... lol?

Bluester if John Terry and Wayne Rooney became available tomorrow half these cretins on here would say they're too old and not good enough.

If we could get Lampard untill the end of the season it would be a no brainer.

Terry and Rooney are still performing in the Prem tho. Rooney is still playing at international level - you're comparing apples with oranges.

Gerrard and Lampard chased the money in MLS because they knew they were shot at Prem level. Games I watched, superior athletes just bypassed them...

The only rationale for getting them would be coz they are "names" hence great for PR. Worked well for us in the past - Sinclair, Hasslebaink, Fowler et al.

if you're expecting them to magically perform brilliantly and lead you to stay up... eh... go down, both would magically retire.

Fair points mate, but i theres hardly a single doubt in my mind that the pair of them would improve our current midfield no end, regardless of old legs and lazy MLS mind

Well, caveat emptor and all that.

Surprised some haven't advocated signing Bradley Wright-Phillips since he's such a prolific goalscorer in MLS...

No chance with Gerard, he's nailed on for Celtic, they're liverpools natural friends and he's got a decent relationship with B-Rodge.

Lampard I could see happening, he seems to have a genuine affection for us but he'lol probably want a massive pay day.

Decent call that.

Also, it seems Lampard fancies doing his badges. We could certainly do with someone showing our midfielders how to avoid a nosebleed as they move up the pitch

Behave. Neither Wright-Phillips had the sort of talent we're talking about with Lampard and the Scouse.
