What?! But we clapped him and sang songs for him whilst our own players were trying to beat his team. You mean that didn't work?? How strange. [Post edited 13 Jul 2016 9:58]

Have we made any bids for him then?
Bony on 10:06 - Jul 13 with 7024 views | Whiterockin | So they are going to pay us £8M in January for a player not playing for them. Look at it another way they will be getting a £3M loan fee so there is only £5M to pay. Football in this day and age is mad.

I wonder if we are really wanting Bony. Rumour has it that he is a bit older than he claims ... maybe as much as 35-36. Should there be any truth in that he will be past his best and slowing down. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

So you'd move to a job with lower wages? For "the love"?

Around 10 years ago I voluntarily moved to a job with a quarter of my previous wages because I now wake up every morning thinking that I'm happy rather than unhappy and looking forward to doing my job. Best decision ever. I would certainly do it if I was a footballer...3 million a year and I get to play every game and be appreciated or 5 million a year and get to sit on a bench and be ridiculed and jeered at. No brainer. You can't spend that much and are secure for life anyway.

Yeah but if you were a footballer you'd be brain dead so you wouldn't

Good for you. Far too many people have wrong priorities. Bony to us is a no-brainer then.

Given the age of his kids this isn't hard to believe.

Quite surprised as I thought a move back here would have been ideal for him (game time) and us (not having to shell out all that cash as they still owe us) The move to Turkey is a bizarre one. Personally I wouldn't go to Turkey for love nor money at the moment

Football wise he is the perfect fit for us, so is Joe Allen. It's not like peopl are clamouring to get Canas and Schecter back
