Not sure if it will go ahead, but if it does, I'm predicting a 4-0 to Rangers by half time when Newport will leave to go crown green sheep sha ging, leaving our dire pre-season in tatters, only to find the local girls under 12 available for the second half.

Sorry North,
But it's still raining quite hard with grey skies and no sign of let up.
The saving grace may be that as the ground is so very close to the river, it may drain quickly into it.
However with the season only a week away Newport might be worried about cutting the pitch up, which will remain damp, no matter what.
If I find out anything I'll post here!

Rain letting up to fine drizzle, but talking to locals they say that despite being next to the river it doesn't drain well.
No idea if it's due a pitch inspection, so can't comment until or if I hear something locally.

Hi guys,
At the ground now, and it's a fine drizzle but was lashing down a few minutes back.
Game deffo on at 110..am, however in try QPR fashion, anyone who booked a ticket Thursday onwards to pick up here is, until or if Rangers give them the info, there is no ticket for you.
QPR secretary expected to bring returned tickets at 12.30, so hopefully we will get ours then.
Otherwise there's is plenty of alternate area capacity too.

I think it's ok. Well we should be losing but the line up's ok 
If you swapped (the perennially shit against any, ANY! opposition) Hoilett for Gladwin and sorted out the centre back partnership its quite a fast, inventive team imho.
Our main problem seems to be continuing - defending as a unit when teams are running at us. Don't know what happened about Gerry Francis coming in but we still need him. |  | | |

Kpekwa should start over hill at LB. Looks really good going forward, and he has a cross on him. This shape looks really good as well, the 4231 allows for good passing and possession. Would be better with someone with a bit of pace up top though. |  |

Defence as shaky as Wednesday. Should really be behind by now. Chery looking good though and some nice through balls. Poulter looks uncertain at times with the ball at his feet. Not really pushing home when needed | | | |
