Ron Suart . Things were starting to go pear shaped after the glory years and he wasn't too popular . A young Alan Ball was trying manually to keep to keep the club in the top division .

I'm not really sure! I can remember Les Shannon vividly. But was probably watching the Mighty during Harry Potts reign.

Ron Suart, and the team had Waiters, Armfield, Ball and Hughes in it. Now they were real quality.

As a youngster didn't really take much notice of the managers, but remember Bob Stokoe as I used to deliver his papers, Les Shannon because some gypsy woman put a curse on him and the club, and Harry Potts for the Potts Must Go chants/banners.

For the latter, Oyston has taken over and the curse has returned!!

Always look on the SEASIDE of life!

Les Shannon's Tangerine Army,

Les Shannon is the first I can visualise but Ron Suart must have been in charge when I started going.

Mine 'properly' was Billy Ayre. Got my first season ticket in 1990 - couldn't have hoped for a better first manager!

Younger than most it seems - Sam Allardyce when I was 14 and started getting in to BFC - cried when we lost to Bradford City!
