How many of you were gloating when Thatcher died? Wind your necks in.

The guy held this country to ransom several times. Bllx to the unions.

Said my piece on this, wont be looking at this thread again.

We don't kill paedos I'm this country so wishing death on someone for organising strikes is a tad harsh?

Bob Crow on Thatcher's death: " As far as I am concerned she can rot in hell."

Never understood anyone taking pleasure in the death of someone, no matter what their differences.

And therein lies the difference between Tory and Labour - Class versus No class.

It was wrong when Thatcher died. (Hated her politics) and it is wrong now when Bob Crow has passed away.
Kids argument to say "well they said it when Thatcher died". Pathetic.

RIP Bob Crow.

Classy.

Neither the gloating on there nor the gloating on here is necessary.

Walt,
you've always been a strange individual but comparing Tories charged with serial male rape and child pornography to that photo is odd even for you.

Have a word with yourself.
You know he had a family right?
You think its acceptable to say shit like that about a man who never took a back hander in his life just because he may have inconvenienced your travel plans?
How would you feel if someone said that about one of your parents?

And from a bloke who, going by his username, never actually used the underground system. Proving he is more stupid than we could ever imagine.

Bob Crow has NEVER been a member of either the Conservative or Labour Parties. In fact, he stood up to both of the parties (Livingston or Johnson) and was the first union leader to cut financial backing to the Labour Party.

As an RMT member, believe me, he is a moderate when you hear some of the spiel coming from other RMT executive members. I only met him once in 1998. A work colleague was killed in a tragic motorbike crash down North End Road. on his way to work . About 300 staff and friends attended the funeral in Parsons Green. Of my 6 managers, only two bothered to attend the funeral. One of the managers even had the audacity to conduct work related business on a mobile phone in the chapel while the funeral was conducted. But sat next to me in the back row was Bob Crow. He never knew or met my workmate James but felt it was necessary as an RMT member (he wasn't leader at the time) to attend a fellow union members funeral. The four managers who didn't show up could've learnt a thing or two from him. He made himself known to the family (the father was an ex tube driver) then quietly left the church. From that day forward my respect for Bob grew. I wasn't his No1 fan by any stretch, BUT hes the best union leader we've had in the 24 years I've been on the job.

From 2009:
<begin>
'Does he still think of himself as a communist? "Oh yeah. Absolutely, yeah. Communist stroke socialist, yeah." How would he define that? "I'd say it was based on a society of people's needs. For example, I still can't understand how in a world that produces enough food to feed the world twice over every day, a third of the world is going to bed hungry every night. How can capitalism be working? I can't accept that 50% of the world are working for $2 a day and I can't accept that 10% of workers are working for a dollar a day."

Would it scare his members to know their leader was a communist. "Nah," he says with utter certainty. "If I were a worker and my trade union leader was a communist and he was getting me good pay rises, bring on more communists."'
<end>

Well said that man.

Nope comparing your hypocritical damning of people for their less than "classy" remarks to a man's death to yours for a woman's death.
I didn't click on your links.
Not sure what the Walt is about but then again you rarely make any sense.
I'll take "odd" from you as a compliment if it means I'm nothing like you.

Edit: In answer to your "classy" links. http://labour25.com/

Agreed. The way some on here rejoiced at Thatcher's death was nothing short of disgraceful.

funny enough bob crow did just that

The recent industrial action wasn't just about workers' rights and pay. It was also about preserving London Underground as a worthwhile service to the public, rather than as a profit-maker. Can you really imagine what it will be like when there are no ticket office staff, just machines? Can you imagine what it will be like to be partially-sighted or disabled, or old and confused, and unable to find a member of staff in an underground station?

I don't follow RMT politics, but I hope to god there is someone of a similar calibre to pick up the baton from Bob and run with it. For all our sakes.

As someone further up the board pointed out: Thatcher ruined the lives of many, many people. At most, Bob Crow made a few people walk to work.
