The media in Holland is reporting that Saints are in advanced talks for a right back from FC Groningen in the summer transfer window.
According to the latest mefia reports in the Netherlands Southampton are interested in signing Deyovaisio Zeefuik from FC Groningen in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the Premier League club are in talks with the Dutch side over the
Zeefuik made 26 appearances in the Eredivisie for Groningen this season, providing two assists in the process.
During the 2018-19 campaign, the Dutchman scored one goal and provided one assist in 32 league matches.
His contract is up in the summer of 2021 and rather than see him leave then on a free transfer, Groningen are likely to cash in now with the fee likely to be around 6 million Euros.
Zeefiuk started at Ajax and joined Groningen two years ago and has been a regular in their line up for two seasons.
He has represented Holland at U21 level and his second position is said to be in central defence although at 5ft 8 he is a little short for that position unless he operates in a role behind the defence as a sweeper as they were called back in the old days.
