So...how was it for you? OGAAT Pasoti report now live
at 09:44 29 Aug 2024

No worries

I always enjoy LFW and Clive’s acerbic takes. I think I have said before I consider it the gold standard of fan commentary.

You have no idea how chuffed I was when he envied my Chair carrying the team line.

It’s always gratifying to know your opponents share a sense of humour about the games we share.

I have to go and character assassinate Schumacher now. On my birthday as well.

Until next time

Well that was...early....

Apart from Issaka's challenge ....

Here is the link to the One Game at a Time review of Saturdays Gavin Ward Appreciation Society Convention.

See you later in the season ( FA Cup permitting) Do we still just have to get to the fourth round to guarantee avoiding you?

If I had a time machine for one game it would be that one....

Two things stick out, the BBC radio commentary cnsistently called Ernie Machin, Eddie Minchin.

Also a family friend was a friend of Gordon Jago who invited him to the game as a guest. He didn't really get the etiquette of the boardroom ( not his environment) so wildly celebrated the goals.

Jago never invited him again!

Not sure of our new boy Obafemi will be playing....still hoping for a keeper today as well....

Pretty sure that one went the other way around

That said he did a job for us when he came back after injuries and rewrite his correct to help in the clubs survival. By and large he has a decent rep amongst the fans although if we had actually paid the theee quarters of a million Quoted that might have changed

Took a decent pen as well.

Greetings all

I write the pre and post match previews and reviews on Pasoti

As I have said before it is an unashamedly green tinted view of the fixture, the history and the opposition.....

I'd agree with your leader writers take on the fixture as being one of the more enjoyable rivalries over the years....also for us one of the closest....I know...

Having saved us from relegation last season courtesy of Asmir's generous cross spill and Adomahs lightning reflex it's a bit early to think about six pointers, but there you go....

It would be nice for WRPA to get a win on the board if only to stop the narrative that we were insane to appoint him. On the other hand we have kind of painted ourselves into a corner if we do keep losing, or at least not winning ( and no, the Carabao Cup against Cheltenham doesn't count)

Anyhoo...here it is....have a great season ( two exceptions obviously)

Faint hope, same failings, familiar faces - report

Yeah! Beaker was my favourite muppet :)

And Begovic by association fitted the bill. I was impressed the the sheer variety of memes posted on your site to express how you felt about his cross claiming!

I always come and read LFW as frankly it is some of the best football writing there is.....visceral, savage and very very funny.

Goos luck at Hull...in my opinion you are safe now even though you have tough games.......not sure about us yet....think Stoke might be a horrible day and we suck at Millwall ( apart from 1967!)

Till next time.

Terrific report.....I may have to steal the shitting a car metaphor before seasons end

Here is a link to the One Game at a Time Leicester preview which has my match summary. Still not sure how we got a point.

Great turn out from your fans, and hopefully we can do it all again next season. If we do what's Alberts birthday so we can send him a cake?

So you did your bit, it is just a shame we ran out of players and energy for the final push....

As has been said in countless other reports on the clubs it is never one fixture so our appalling start and dismal away finish meant we finished where we deserved and frankly most would have taken this campaign if we knew the outcome in August

Delighted you stayed up and wish you every hope of finishing second behind us next season...( and to be fair if we could come second I don't mind you coming top!)

Enjoy the summer and see you next season

On behalf of all Argyle fans best of luck from the Green ( and for one day only) and Rochdale Blue Army from our forward base at Gillingham

There will be over two thousand of us there nervously watching through our fingers and cheering every goal you score ...three would be really helpful given how few we score away

Really hope you put it over the Addicks and that Oldham mess up....

Come on Hilly, remember you're a Janner....

Up the Dale ( today!!!!)

Frustrating for us and a point won for you....but in reality no individual game costs you play offs....we lost that in the first three months and have no right to be as close as we a re ....and the last few games our limited squad numbers/injuries have caught up with us...and yet three wins and we a re in the play offs so we move on.

Glad to see you out of the mire, albeit by slender margins....I hope you can take points off Charlton on the final Saturday

All the best for the rest of the season....

Edited to correct the autocorrect on Scotland/Spotland ( which I thought I had done but obviously not)

Better hope for a draw then at Walsall....

As fir retaining out L1 status no-one truly expected us to be in this position at the start of the season and even less so by December so whatever happens happens....

We would quite like to avoid having to play Wycombe or Exeter ( or worst case both of them) next season though...

Hope you don't mind a Plymouth interloper....

PASOTI, as visited is not in a good place right now...we have a number of so called fans who delight in any failure as it serves their own personal agenda but in truth the overall opinion was we got what we deserved on Saturday the square root of sweet FA.

Ryan Taylor is our missing link...target man who drags us ten yards further up the pitch and who then allows our creative duo of Lameiras and Carey to sparkle in dangerous area...Grant is a wide player who doesn't fit the role but is good with the ball behind a back four or to feet.

So far he has filled in for two games and we have scored zero....

We also have a few injuries....Sarcevic is only just back from six/seven weeks out, Makes on loan from West Ham is out and his replacement who himself was signed in an emergency swoop when we lost Sarcevic was crocked on Saturday....

Fan wise I think you will surprised...we have fond memories of winning at Spotland under Sturrock under lights in the promotion season and also most of the tickets were sold before we surrendered so abkjectly on Saturday....not sure how many your away end holds but I'd expect around 1200-1500 there....so not too shabby for a Tuesday night a couple of hundred miles away...

We need the win....so do you...first goal will be crucial as I suspect both teams will be tempted to go negative and hold on.....

Either way I hope you guys stay up even if we do win....Hill is a good manager at this level and an ex Greenie too....plus who wants to go to Boundary park for a game....we have a dreadful record there

I think Walsall may well not get another point...they seem to have lost all confidence, and Northampton may have left it too late....

So let us have the points and beat Charlton instead would be my preferred option....hope that fits in with your plans too.

best of luck ( except tomorrow)

Witty/Humorous Player nicknames
at 22:05 7 Dec 2017

Hi

Argyle fan here on a mission to hunt out witty/humourous player nicknames from the past and present from each club.

I am also interested in finding out who your Psycho, Trigger, Beast, Animal Tank and other similar common or garden nicknames are...

If you have any good candidates then the nickname player and any back story would be great...not necessarily just Rangers but obviously thats the main reason for coming on the board.

We probably have enough for Holloway though :)

Best

Peter
