After a season or more of berating our very poor footballers looks like day one is going to be more of the same. |
| News Comment | Luton humbling highlights scale of Critchley’s task — Report at 22:35:55
you said soft early in the piece. have to agree , some would say my mantra of "soft as shite" is used too often but last couple of seasons its what i feel we are. we never seem to do well in a battle which the majority of championship games are. start of season i thought we would have more about us to avoid a new year collapse like last time but now i'm unsure if we have 5 more wins in us. wish the new manager all the best but the window will be ........interesting ? |
| News Comment | More Peterborough pain turns the natives restless - Report at 21:12:36
i would agree with all that report. i got out of bed at 4am to fly over to watch that mess. my 179th game and the only thing that second half reminded me of was 0-0 with cambrodge united and getting done by grimsby.but we knew how bad we were then. i would have liked the inevitable bottle job to have been closer to the final day though. sad, angry, frustrated, accepting, its an emotional road to hell currently |
| News Comment | Nothing to see here — report at 20:09:21
agree with all of that. loads of possession and the more composed side for long periods but lack of cutting edge has cost us a top two spot. thought wigan were as cynical and anti football as they were lost season. you better hope that rat mcclean doesn't see the word Britain in the same sentence as his name. |

never seen flares as empty,i do see some totty though.may have made the right moral if not financial decision to go lapdancing upon arrival back in the toon. flares should be rocking on the 22nd though. liverpool this weekend for wigan, belfast in my union jack jam suit the next and followed by newcastle on the 22nd. i may not survive un til christmas. i expect us to be in double figures pointwise by then. |

A lot of the points i have been trying to make to mates since the City game, with varying degrees of success. he is going to still be a ranger next season so will be fully behind him when he returns to active service. |
| News Comment | Behind enemy lines — the other side of Sunday’s miracle at 22:32:43
good read mate,i flicked back occasionally to sky sports news but stopped in the end as i was convinced we were getting a point. stood for the whole game,no bloody steward will make me sit down in my own living roon |
| News Comment | LFW Awaydays — Newcastle, St James’ Park at 22:11:56
cold as always but early kick off and drinking until dawn left me still drunk at kick off which isnt a bad thing. i seem to remember we started well for abut 10 minutes and were very poor after that although having a better shape. |
| News Comment | LFW Awaydays — Birmingham, Villa Park at 22:07:20
i had easier journeys,50 minute flight to birmingham international, ten minutes on the train to new street.checked into hotel, £32 basic but adequate. then the horrendous decision to get to the ground good and early.quick 10 minute journey to witton.got inside to find there was no booze available.standing about in the freezing cold for ages. oh yeah then we threw away a two goal lead. back to the city centre ,sober and needing to unwind so cue the dancing ladies and £4 beers. these northern, midlands fixtures suit me fine. bolton should finish me for aways this season so will try and make it to back to HQ for a couple of the aunt nelly marquee games. |
