| Forum Reply | 1982 FA Cup final and replay - were you there? Help needed at 15:40 21 May 2014
Did 82 and replay. Got tickets via going to Orient post semi final and given a scrap of paper entitling me to a Final ticket. Think they kept that quiet to make sure some of the more loyal support got a ticket at that time period. Also did 67 but I have absolutley no outstanding memory. I was only 11. Was wearing my lucky yellow T shirt that I wore to Palace and WBA matches only to discover it was the same colour as Spuds for the final and having to convince loads of R's that I was actually a ranger, which rather put me on edge. Lucky I had my old man with me who was putting them straight. Also getting my replay ticket and it was pouring down with rain down Loftus rd, watching some geezer shampooing his hair and then washing the soap off under a split drain pipe that was pissing out water. Being so proud of the team at the end of the replay. Moist eyes as well. |

Maybe a spack. With all the emotions of the evening, the 66th minute came and went without any appreciation of one of our's being respected. ( I did'nt hear anything) So to the family apologies, as it was kind of mad evening down at Loftus road. The funny thing is I believe Mr Alfie Preston would of fully understood. Urssss. |

Saw Wigan v Newcastle, whole Newcastle end standing throughout the game. Just one example. Our game with WIGAN ( away) about 30% standing. Does It mean more to the geordies, then what our game means to us! If it was life or death we would all be standing. When I go to an away game, I find it really annoying when the only noise you hear from the bloke behind is to tell you to sit down. Fcuk off to the front if you don't want to get behind the team you fcukwit ( is what I think ) But guess what, I actually sit down and with it the atmosphere slowly withers away, as others feel they have to sit down as well. Not sure what the answer is. Let the club know you want to be either North in the stands or South ? |

Was there with my late Dad. Motty saying " Just over 40000 when the ground holds nearly 60000" Bit odd as I remember it being rammed. But what a day. Going to the Hawthorns tomorrow, got a feeling it's not going to be quite as exciting. URsss |

I will be going to some of the other ones. But because of the low allocation ( 1500 is low for a London derby on a Saturday FFS) It has been decided by the club, that is all the support they need. Of course if you're one of the 1500 happy days who gives a fcuk. |

Think the club could easily sell another 1000 away tickets. But if the club dont want the extra support in order to save a relative small amount of money, then we will just stay at home. |

Fair point, did call the box office but you end up talking to the ticket agency. Anyone got a good way of getting through to the club ? |

It never got to myself and Ive got 47 points on my membership. PLus my two boys. The way I see it, If the club took the extra 1500 AND ONLY SOLD A 1000 there would 2500 support getting behind the team. A team that needs as much support as possible. every one who can be there would be there. Then you would get some support saying " ooo it would cost the club money if we don't sell our allocation blah blah blah " Well 500 empty seats cost £20000. The same as about three days wages of one of our higher paid player's. So yer I'm pretty annoyed that I cant get tickets to go and support the club and a little angry at the club for not getting the extra allocation. Boo. |

I think the paltry 1500 seat allocation was never going to be enough ! It's on a Saturday. Easily take another 1000 on top of that...christ sake don't they want our support. Frustrating enough watching them play, now can't even do that. Bring on fecking Barnsley away. !! |
