Amend to follow follow song for tonight
at 17:23 16 Jan 2025

Pantomime soccer am BANTZ sung by the sort of dinlows that sing about libraries.

Those songs genuinely make me want to stand in silence.

I actually got a bit pissy with some around us singing about the championship tour when we went down last time because i was f*cking angry about it and thought it was humiliating to go down the way we did (little did i know eh?) so hearing others have a laugh about it was embarrassing to me

I think i hate that follow song even more than the allez one, though i don't think anything annoys me more than the Aribo/Gold song.

Not because it's crap, but because for some reason no one sings JOE, instead they sing OH, i mean his name literally fits the gap perfectly yet they still don't do it.

Also fair play to any of you fools heading up today, would've actually loved to have gone myself as Manchester is the best city in the north for pubs by an absolute country mile, and mancs are decent people (and unlike Liverpool you get far less tourists at United). But sadly i didn't have enough annual leave from work left to do it.

I imagine everyone will be really excited to see the Manchester Water Feature (tm) at Old Trafford tonight, i've heard it's quite the sight

Have we lost in our pink kit this season?
at 17:26 15 Jan 2025

I'm surprised our fans haven't been up in arms about playing in the traditional portsmouth colours of pink.

Given that historically pink was their main colour and their team nickname - prior to adopting pompey - of The Shrimps, was a reference to their pink kit, i'd have thought our fans would've had none of it.

Also i don't know why they dropped the name The Shrimps as it feels very fitting for them

I actually have a working theory we're partly responsible for it sadly, and as much as i hate the use of the scouse song it definitely borrows from us moaning on social media people didn't reference the clubs history enough.

I did have a chuckle though when we played Spurs and our fans sang "we sing our songs", then instantly followed it up by singing Allez Allez.

Self awareness is not a strong point in THE NORTHAM WAILING WALL

my main problem is that it's factually incorrect, the chapel wasn't added to st mary's church until 1886, a year after Southampton football club was formed.

So therefor it was started in a boys club associated with the church and not the chapel, making the entire song TECHNICALLY WRONG, and as we all know veracity is the most important part of football songs.

Matt Busby said to Berti Mee,
Have you heard of the north bank highbury?

Bert said no, i don't think so,
But i've heard of the Milton

I’ll be honest I’d rather see Bournemouth in europe than one of the usual money clubs, at least it’s interesting seeing a different side there for once

Our group brought this back pre covid mostly to deeply confused looks from younger fans who couldn’t work out why we hated Nottingham forest.

To be honest looking at people around me there i'd say most have just given up, it's not even spiky, people are literally just waiting for us to lose now.

No more Kraft!!
at 15:44 14 Jan 2025

I can only assume that Kraft has been asked to leave due to his complete and utter incompetence at delivering THE FIVE PLEDGES.

Another board member rightfully forced out due to their lack of action on the pledges, hopefully any new person coming in will make it a priority and actually deliver them so we can move forward.

I doubt anyone would give a f*ck to be honest, it's only bournemouth and they'd get treated the same as if they were Brentford or Newcastle.

Pretty much yeah, though it does feel like it's been easier to get away tickets this season.

I know we get bigger allocations in the prem (3k vs 2k in the championship) but also feels like our away support is more varied in terms of who's going.

Outside of the usual hardcore of maybe 1k who'll do most games it feels to me like the other 2/3rds are moving around different people a lot more

Hardly a surprise, a game against unattractive and unimportant opposition that we'll probably lose, at a time when people have no money.

The fact we've only got 2k left given everything going on shows how good our current support is to be honest.

Is it time for a new slogan?
at 12:49 9 Jan 2025

How about we lift straight from Stalin? With "We are the most fortunate of men!"

The Gulags are full! We are the most fortunate of men!

In Sport Republic we trust! We are the most fortunate of men!

It was fixed. So Ankersen broke it! We are the most fortunate of men!

But 120mins would mean less time spent in the gulag so obviously that's a worse thing.

By losing by more than 3 in most of our home games the club can Pack The 'Lag earlier and make a killing on over priced kingfisher.

If you build it, they will come!

Is the multi-club structure leading to less accountability?
at 15:54 8 Jan 2025

Until we have:

1. Award winning pies
2. A radio station
3. A black box (that rides on time)
4. A painting of a train (in pride of places)
5. Pledges

We cannot expect anyone to buy us.
