Oh Bollocks .. well I said that they'd win by 3 or 4 goals and they're 1-0 up and Swindon have lost their captain! |

A former Preston player with no managerial experience in 6 years .. hmm that'll go down well! |
| Forum Reply | Looks like Cubero is gone as well at 18:10 17 May 2015
Did anyone really think that after his season with Blackpool that Cubero would return! It was always inevitable that he wouldn't come back. I used to see him when he was injured and always looked like he'd been slapped round the face with a wet kipper! He would have lasted 5 minutes in League One with his acrobatics and his rolling around the floor (great pic by the way - how I'll remember him!). Talented player, way too good for the team he had around him and on that disgrace of a pitch but the one remaining memory of Jose Riga which has now gone. Thanks Jose - it was never going to work! |

In the 4th picture who is the guy between Burgess and Vaughan in the blue suit which is done up? Is it Stephen McPhee? |

You would be gutted if you were a Huddersfield fan - do you get more money the higher the league place? |
| Forum Reply | Decent Article on Lee Clark and the current situation at 11:51 9 May 2015
This is probably the most telling line in the whole article - another one who maybe feels that the O's should be investing more than they're prepared to and actually just don't get the economics of how to get a side out of a league. Clark may have believed he would be given some money to rebuild in League 1 and rumours from the club suggest this was not guaranteed. |
| Forum Thread | So any names in the frame? at 10:59 9 May 2015
Suppose Holloway is the obvious but have to say that I don't think he's ready or would come back - after that I really haven't a clue who's out there or who could do a job. Any names? |
| Forum Reply | Expectations for next season at 10:57 9 May 2015
Funny how this thread takes on a whole new meaning because with Oyston/Clark at the helm I genuinely felt that next season was over before it began - with Clark gone at least we have a fighting chance. |
| Forum Reply | Sad news about a former player at 12:16 7 May 2015
BHOK - spot on with that last comment. The guy was an absolute gem! I saw him in the lounge at Pride Park before we got our usual hammering there and he said the reason he left was not because of anything to do with the club but because he thought Ollie was an absolute nut job!! |

Ironic what he has to say here because in the 47 minutes on Saturday he was by far the worst player for both sides and arguably one of the reasons we did get relegated - bringing in players who just aren't good enough! Pot and Kettle springs to mind!! Darren O’Dea fears Blackpool could face back-to-back relegations unless big changes are made at the club. The defender has left Bloomfield Road, having not been offered a new deal by manager Lee Clark following talks last weekend. The official retained list is yet to be released by the club, although The Gazette understands Clark has released almost all of his out-of-contract players. Tom Barkhuizen is the only player to have so far confirmed his departure. O’Dea is worried about the club’s future. He said: “The manager was fantastic. I feel for him and I feel for the players who are going to be there, because if Blackpool don’t get their finger out they could potentially go down again. “They were in the Premier League three years ago? Sometimes you wonder ... “I think that if Clark gets his way, then Blackpool with be fine. But as manager there, I wouldn’t say getting your way is the easiest thing. “There are some lovely people there but the club is poorly run and they are going to struggle.” O’Dea made 19 appearances for the Seasiders, having signed initially on a one-month deal last December. The 28-year-old Republic of Ireland international needed time to build up his fitness but ended the season in decent form, despite Pool’s terrible run of results and relegation. O’Dea had spent the previous season in Ukraine and he added: “From the outside, Blackpool obviously had a disastrous season. But for me, going there was about playing. “I had a bad injury before I went there, and having been out of the country before that I think there was a bit of a question mark over me in people’s minds. “I wanted to put that to bed, which I think I did by playing 20 games and never missing a day’s training.” The Gazette understands several clubs have shown interest in the defender, with Bolton being touted as one potential destination. And he’s hoping his experience at clubs like Celtic and Leeds will stand him in good stead. “You’re at the mercy of other people but if you look at my CV, I’ve been around for long enough now,” he said, “so hopefully I’ll get something sorted quickly. “I’ve played more that 250 club games, never below the Championship, and I was in the SPL with Celtic. “I’ve 20 international caps, so I think it’s fair to say I could do a job for someone. “But in the end it’s down to who needs a central defender and who fancies me for their team.” |

Imagine if someone came up with that as a name for a company who then sponsored our shirts. Knowing the Oyston's they'd do the deal and buy a shirt with it on themselves! [Post edited 7 May 2015 12:12]
