‘Why do these successful men, who have built up exceptionally successful organisations lose the plot when it comes to football clubs’

They don’t though do they? What looks like £millions of losses to us, normal folk, is actually very calculated in a lot of cases.

The Glazers dumped nearly a £billion of debt into United. This has all sort of liquidity and tax benefits which far outweigh the losses they made.

The Saudis at Newcastle. State funded but providing a PR service to cover up dead journalists and influence money can’t buy.

Even our own chaps only used QPR to advertise airplanes in some of the Premiership’s biggest markets in Malaysia and SE Asia.

Taking a trip there soon, but have heard horror stories of UK drivers getting nicked and fined over there for not having triangles, breathalysers, and brie knives (joke).

I know we have a few Gallic based Rs here, can anyone provide some advice or send a good link to guidance on what I need to carry?

Didn’t Norwich get promoted and stay up with 40% w/t one season?

They were only one of two clubs in the football league below 100% iirc. Doubt they are now.

Driver lead trains are here for a while yet. Just a very expensive and very disruptive pipe dream for angry conservatives in the papers and government at the moment.

Won’t say anymore other than when very rich people are telling you train drivers are overpaid, you should check your pockets.

Look after yourselves, and each other.

Elizabeth line run by private company. I would say they deserve a fair portion of blame too, even if it’s just for taking money out of London / UK.

Well they’ve told you a porky, although I wouldn’t begrudge them £80,000. Good luck driving your own trains.

Exactly.

I’m not even against a new stadium, I’d just like a football stadium preferably on the footprint we have.

Trim the £2m from the salary and transfer budget and be as efficient as we can be. I would rather we stay a football only stadium and let the financial chips fall where they may, including League One if need be, than watch QPR in a Coventry style stadium.

Make our current stadium as attractive as possible to the football connoisseur, ie better leg room, better beers, and food that doesn’t look and taste like Chernobyl fall out.

Make Loftus Rd Great again.
