Some decent players in rhat squad. So long as the fans at barnsley are willing to give flicker time to consolidate them as a championship team before progressing they good be doinjg ok in a few seasons time. It can be irritating watcing your club come in the 3/4 of the table but these things take time and the championship gets more competitive every season at the moment.

Poll: Would you have Keith Hill back?

I think his achievements since being installed as gaffer mean he should be given time. But I did ask our supporters on our own forum to stick with it/him if we were to start badly this season.

I'll be doing a blog preview and asking the same thing.

It's easy to say we'll stick with him (in June/July) but experience tells me that if by the end of August we're rock bottom he'll be getting stick. It's the way it goes.

Personally, I'll be behind him all season unless he's blatantly out of his depth/taking the piss.

But I'm quite sure we'll be ok this season. I'm only hoping for two things - to not be involved in a relegation battle, and for many of the 3,000 season ticket holders we've lost since Mark Robins left, to at least return to check us out and then hopefully realise that we're a different animal under Flicker.

The silly part of me - it's in us all - says we're going to do something special this season. I also believe Dale will, too.

Fingers crossed, eh?

Taking the piss - copying Keith Hill and Mark Robins' mistakes of selecting the same habitual failures despite evidence suggesting there's better players available to them.

Sticking to a game plan/tactics/shape/tempo that is seeing us about as effective as a chocolate fireguard.

Blaming the supporters after every defeat (just Keith on that one.. Mark never stooped so low).

Taking the piss.

Thankfully, I don't think Flicker is that much of a cock. And neither do I believe Keith is, anymore. It's a long way back once you've failed spectacularly at Barnsley. Ask Simon Davey.
