How worried should we be at how 'off it' he was v Hull? His replacement by Saito was like fumbling in the dark giving way to the Land of the Rising Sun! I know he had a couple of great assists recently, but it's been a real tough ol' season for Ili, and obviously his lack of pre-season and then missing a big chunk of this one when he was feeling his way back in have had a physical impact. I wonder how he's feeling in mind and body right now.

Poll: Keep our 12 game pts return going, and it's a 73 pt finish! Playoffs?

He came off after 57 minutes. Probably best not to just make things up to suit your arbitrary rhetorics.

Amazingly enough for your back-biting thesis and need to jump on my every perceived tiny infraction at the expense of the bigger picture/topic in hand every time, it was a minor error (which I'm happy to correct). Yes, reader, I was a whole 12 minutes out in my timing of that substitution. What a troll am I!

Better get back to my 'arbitary' arguments and concerns about all things QPR (and alleged pornography habit) so that masters of footballing necessity like yourself can go on p*ssing on people's reasonable threads. Glad for you if that makes you happy, but why not dial down on the obsession with me a bit, eh?

Jesus Christ

Jesus would struggle to get Into the starting eleven this year - but there’s always a place for him on the bench. Has trouble with some crosses though!

I guess the question is, do we start with Chair or Saito on Saturday? I can see the case for either.

As I was saying on the Koki thread, it's a nice problem for the manager to have. Does he put back in our pocket dynamo who we all know and love, and who has done a number of game-changingly good things in recent games, as people have pointed out, in e.g. crossing quicker to set up goals (possibly, and ironically, I think, just because of rather than in spite of a lack of tip-top match fitness and not being quite as sharp/able to run with the ball etc.), or does he challenge Saito to go out as a starter and show us what he's all about for 90mins? He's really getting in the Champ groove, he's fit, and he's now off the mark with a goal - so why not?

For my final two-penneth, and though MC probably won't be playing them together, I'd love to see him try (a la Willock and Chair) with Chair in the '10' role and licence to roam out wide, especially at home. With Varane, Morgan and Field as our midfield base, that would be our boldest approach, I think - but who would you drop, unless you went three at the back (which has the advantage of keeping Ashby out of the team)?

Nardi
Dunne Cook/JCS/Edwards Paal
Field Varane Morgan
Chair
Smyth Frey Saito

Not worried pal, if anything with the busy run in to the end of the season up he could be in perfect form for those crunch games, could being the operative word.

He’s still our most talented player, however as others have alluded too we don’t rely on him so heavily anymore .

Not at all, he is still our 2nd best player behind Dunne.
Why does there always need to be an issue to be worried about. Chair is fine, every match will not be great. We are 4 off of the playoffs and 12 above relegation. All is good.

He just came back from injury and then some tough games with Plymouth and Dull. Kolli was off as well, but note that Chair assisted Kolli the game before.

Should start against Sheff Wed and I bet he does well.

zzzzzzzzzz

Extrapolating from performances in individual games achieves very little, whether it's Ashby, Chair, Marti or anyone else. Chair having an offday has about as much predictive capability as Ledesma's hattrick.

JC can hold his own when defending crosses, not so good attacking them.

Nailed on for the inevitable redemption story.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

Big Difference between Tuesday night and Saturday was that Field was playing deeper in a two alongside Varane, and Ilias rarely had an option inside when he received the ball. This is big contrast to the right hand side where Morgan was often doubling up with Smyth, and on Saturday when Field was offering options on the left.

But it took seven days for the revival, and after that, he took an upwards direction that amazed everyone.

He's still our top 'assister' with 4 this season, despite missing half the season as well.
Also notable that the upturn in performances (so everything post PNE) has come with him back in the side.

The guy is brilliant, just had a bad game v Hull

He was pretty anonymous against Hull, not his best game, and he hasn't really been at his best all season (understandably given no pre-season and a couple of different injuries). I'm a lot less worried about it now with genuine alternatives available, which makes us less dependent on him and also means he can ease back into fitness with less pressure.

I'd go for the same starting 11 on Saturday, with Freya for Kolli as the only change.

Illy is still playing his way back into form.

Yeah, my thoughts too. Chair to start. Koki can have real value as an impact sub.

Frey will be fresh and up for it. Kolli and Lloyd fantastic options off the bench.

Correct, I was allowing for a lengthy VAR at Stockley Heaven which involved lots of lines being drawn across Golgotha city’s ground before the thumbs down was shown.
