I agree Kingsland, but waiting for Liverpool to win their umptieth Title,Man City to buy a 50 million player or seeing Bournemouth,Brighton and Fulham doing so well gets to you just a bit.

Totally agree with you Grumpy, enough is enough.
Could not go today (thank God) but tuned out at 0-3. I did watch MOTD and not surprisingly we got slated, I am no fan of Danny Murphy but on this occasion his analysis was spot on, no fight, no pride, no leadership, no clue. He did say the appointment of Duric was 'not ideal' - whatever that means from those 'in the know'??
So, my post-defeat therapy was as follows: forget football until MOTD, so, family time assisted by the best ever Garry Davies Radio 2 Sounds of the 80's Chilled Mix - his first ever two hour Chilled Mix and hit the de-stress spot perfectly.
Post suffering the full 5 goals on MOTD, I fired up the still working JVC VCR and watched our 4-1 win over Forest with Channon, Boyer and Ball amongst the scorers, the 3-2 win over Man Utd at The Dell and the 1-0 win at Anfield both in the Keegan era, then onto the 4-1 v Liverpool at The Dell, the 6-3 over Man Utd, then the last Dell game v Arsenal, then onto the Keoman era - especially the Arsenal games and the Mane hat trick in no time at all v Villa. Not forgetting some MLT classics of course...
Aided and abetted by plenty of Shepherd Neame Christmas Ales (7%) plus Grand Marnier as a back up.
Excellent therapy for the here and now, but in the cold light of day it shows just how much SR have totally fc uk'd up our beloved football club.

I walked out yesterday after the game and said to my son. I think that’s me done for the season now. Regardless of my season ticket going to waste I’m not wasting another minute of my time and money on this lot.
The Sulemana experiment is surely at an end now. Get shot of him. Absolute pony. Nicking a living that fella. He isn’t the only one but manager after manager has seen something in training and started him only for him to deliver what we all know he’s going to deliver. |  |

There is something fundamentally wrong with the set up at St Marys.
Sure there is a significant gap between Championship and Premier League football but Leicester & Ipswich are giving it a go and will surely be stronger than us next season after relegation.
Spending £40m on Tall Paul and Sulemana plus around £6m a year in wages has been basically pissing the money down the drain
Yesterday, Brentford, a mid table team without an away win played like they were Barcelona against a random National League team. They were fitter, better organised, more incisive in front of goal and could have played with my old Nan in goal such was our lack of threat going forward.
Heaven knows how the club will deal with relegation.
The dear departed Russell Martin reckoned it took a while to heal the scars of our last relegation.
The worry is the cuts are much deeper this season and the remains of the shell shocked team who will be relegated with the lowest ever points total, less than 20 goals scored and possibly over 100 conceded could potentially see us marooned in the Championship (or worse) for the forseeable future.
Looking deeper into the crystal ball, we could potentially end up the worst performing team on the South Coast, especially if our finances turn out to be too far into the debit side of the ledger. | | | |

I didn’t realise Bedfords was closing yesterday. Went there before/after the dell back then. Think the last time I was there was before a gig at the loft several years back.
What is it being replaced with? A Tesco or co-op? Usually something like that when pubs close these days. | |
