Burnley want Che Adams 13:38 - Jun 12 with 5549 viewsIanSouthstander

Vincent Kompany is interested in taking Che Adams to Burnley.

A fee in the region of £12m was mentioned.

I'd let him go. He didn't play anywhere near enough games to be missed.

Proven goalscorer in the Championship; we're going to need one of them.

We would regret selling him.

Who else do we have FFS?

Apart from Tella, who won’t want to be with us.

You're right. If we sold him today it would leave us short.

But i fully expect us to be busy in the transfer market over the coming weeks.

Lets face it. we've spent big bucks on a Director of Football and a Head of Recruitment. They've got to do something to justify the money the club have splashed out on them.

He couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo.

Had a mysterious injury after relegation as well.

Won’t be missed by me.

As Pat has said, who else is there? Do you trust our recruitment team to get someone in that's better than Che, who did pop them in at Brum before we stole him

Bottom line is, he's not a Premiership goal scorer, but has proved he can do it at the level we now find ourselves in

TBF I wouldn’t be particularly prolific with a banjo either.

I am not averse to selling players if we have proven quality replacements in first. Preferably old enough to have started shaving.

Adam Armstrong has scored more goals at that level than either Adams or Tella, Sekou Mara might well prosper in the Championship and you never know Tall Paul might be good enough.

Then there is Dominic Ballard

Adam Armstrong has had his goalscoring ability completely coached out of him by Hassenhutl.

A goal in a testimonial game against Liverpool means very little.

I very much doubt Tella will be with us; I strongly suspect we will get stitched up there unless we just sell him now.

Ballard is the only player out of that list who excites me.

But that was a few years ago. I remain unconvinced.

Let's face it, apart from Ings, who was (thankfully) a law unto himself, the likes of Che and Adam Armstrong either had it coached out of them or did not see enough of the ball due to the constant pissing about with it from defence or passing it sideways/ backwards in midfield.
No doubt if Che went to Burnley he'd start scoring again.

Agree Ron. We know Che and Adam are far from great players, good given the right service. The way we played last season any striker would have struggled.

Ridiculous to let Che go. He'll score 25 in the Championship if we have the good season we all expect.

Che Adams has proven he’s not quite good enough for the premier league he was never prolific but he was red hot for Birmingham in the championship and would score 20-25 goals for us as he did at Birmingham. Keep him .

Indeed though I see Che as player who needs coaching so just watch Kompany get the best out of him a la Tella
Whilst we languish with some no mark a la Russell passing it around aimlessly with no end product

Che McAdams will cook in The Championship with Diallo supplying the ingredients!!

Why are so many so critical of our players when we have just had two of the worst managers I can remember?

Well, it's not that difficult to understand, you don't have to be Albert Einstein.

We haven't got a PL quality keeper.

All our centre backs are useless, KWP is our only defender of PL quality.

Midfield average at best, and strikers nowhere near good enough, you won't stay up with only 4/5 quality PL players whoever the manager is.
25 points, only beating 4 poor teams all season tells you they're not good enough, and they're were some very poor sides in the bottom half of the PL this season.

If we're still lumbered with most of them in the Championship next season, we'll probably do quite well as they'd probably have found they're right level.

Answer this question, how many of our squad would get in Leicester's first eleven, who contrived to get relegated with a far better squad than us? Maybe 2/3?

It’s a good talking point this one. I’d sell him, hasn’t showed nearly enough quality for me over a sustained period of time.

Into the final season of his contract so unless he signs an extension then sell.

Problem being can the powers that be replace him with an equivalent or better standard of player?

I'd be tempted to keep him until at least January.

Tella is unlikely to want to come "home" and he's earned a crack in the PL.

AA is proven at this level but is hardly the physical presence we will need in the Champ.

Tall Paul and Sulumena should be good enough at Champ level, but we've not really seen the best of them so far.

Mara is (in my view) not good enough at Champ level - I hope I'm proved wrong - and is certainly not a leader.

Alcaraz and Aribo are both converted midfield players and inconsistent.

The rest we have are untested kids.

So I think Che has to stay.

I'd be quietly confident if we went into the championship season with a front six of Armstrong A, Adams, Tella, Sulimana, Mara and Ballard.... Given the right manager. However, I'm expecting Che, Tella and Sulimana to all be sold and Piroe to come in if RM is appointed as expected.

What you fail to understand is that there has to be a reason why so many players form faded.
A good Manager would have been camped on the owners desk demanding a new goal keeper.
Now look at the defence
Bella-Kotchap - German International 21
Selisu- Ghana International 24
Perraud- French international at u17-u20 25
Kyle Walker- Peters England International 26
Midfield
Lavia- Belgium International will go to a big club next season 19 .
JPW England International will have no trouble finding Premier Club.
Alcaraz promising Argentina player 20
Forwards
Sulemana- Ghana International
Orsic Croatian International, big reputation in Croatia, played 1 game.
Onuachu - Nigerian International, 79 goals in 114 games or Genk in Belgium gets 11 games quite a few of them as a second half sub.
To answer your question on form quite a few of them could have got in Leicesters first 11.
The problem was we had two awful managers who were totally clueless.
