From a Wolves forum
“ and its QPR (who are not short of a bob or two) who changed his mind, ”
When will supporters of other clubs understand our finances not to mention FFP
I realise you are not the moneybags club you were a few years ago when you seemed to have multiple billionaires in your boardroom and had been the subject of that documentary series. But I confess I don't quite know what your financial state is today. Has all talk of a new stadium ended or is it still something planned for a future date? Looking at your current board they appear to be very wealthy men in the real world but not by 2022 football standards.

Going to Wolves wouldn't have been much of a step up. Top of Championship to PL relegation zone. And which of those 2 are on an upward trajectory?
I'm sure hecwill love up to PL or equivalent at some point. Be great if it was with QPR.

We've got multi billionaire owners but they are not allowed to spend their money because of FFP. Which makes us top of the league with Mick Beale still at the helm a very good achievement.

It doesn't matter how wealthy your owners are, in the Championship you need to apply with Financial Fair Play rules which limit the losses a club can make. So staying within that (and with our tiny revenue) we're limited on what we can spend on players and managers.

It is all to do with FFP (or whatever it is called now).
The money available in the boardroom is not the issue as they are funding the club by more than £1 million per month. The problem is keeping losses to less than £39 million over the rolling three years as our income is limited.
I think we are reaching the stage where we can't reduce our overall wages by much & still be competitive. As to a new stadium? I have no idea as to what the situation is or whether a site can be found.
On a different subject, are you happy with how the season is going for Sunderland? Were expectations that you would be challenging higher in the table, or would halfway be regarded as good progress?

My post yesterday.......to add to that I would suggest that Les & Hoos will now support MB even more than they already have done.
Gazza1 - added 15:58 - Oct 19 My view is that MB will not leave QPR.......I think he believes that he has gotten something here that are near ready for Premiership, maybe not this season but soon and I think that the signs that he gives means that he wants to be here to build a 'proper' team for the Premier league. I also think that he has a decent relationship with the players, Les & Hoos & has an affiliation with them. I think also he is looking forward to seeing the new training ground finished and 'up & running'. Just my view and the way I see it by seeing him talk at many different times. I hope that I am right because if he goes he will leave a large hole to be filled.
Yes well done Les and Lee!!!!!!

However, the board have just spent £40 million on a state of the art training facility, which is sometimes forgotten. This isn't impacted by FFP, so they can splash the cash, just not on the team. All our signings in the summer were free transfers or loans.
